농림축산식품부(장관 김현수, 이하 농식품부)는 지난 13일 하나로마트 등 주요 대형유통매장 등을 대상으로 실시한 배추김치 수급현황을 밝혔다.

먼저 하나로마트는 전년 대비 물량 공급률은 90% 이상 수준이며, 현재까지 심각한 물량 부족 현상은 없는 것으로 전해진다.

연구진은 골마지를 형성한 효모의 종류와 특징을 확인하기 위해 배추김치와 갓김치, 열무김치, 백김치를 수집해 차세대 염기서열 분석을 진행했다. 차세대 염기서열 분석법은 DNA를 여러 조각으로 분해한 다음, 조각별 염기서열을 조합하는 방식으로 전체 정보를 해독하는 기술이다.
