Romanesque Architecture
Romanesque architecture, architectural design present in western Europe from the middle-11th to the time of the beginning of Gothic architecture. It is a combination of Eastern Roman, German, and ancient Roman. It was also a result the rise of asceticism in early 10th century. Romanesque architecture featured massive, flat roofs.

Romanesque architecture is Italian in its origins. Most of the structures have arches, however there are a few tiles and roofs with pointed arches too. Many structures feature vaulted ceilings that are decorated with decorative carvings. Romanesque structures are renowned for their elaborate ornamentation (such as cornices), but there are numerous examples of simple, functional structures. Romanesque architecture features several themes. This includes temples, villas, palaces, schools and palaces as well fortresses and towers.

The palaces, huts, and temples constructed in the century did not bear the marks of Romanesque influences. The Indian Romanesque tradition of Indian Romanesque has been pushed to the margins. Many of its intricate details, artistic flourishes and artistic flourishes have vanished in time.
