Thai Movie Review: Legend of King David
Are you looking for some Thai movie magic? We have it! You can watch a wide range of Thai films at the theaters all year in Thailand particularly between December and January. Many of these movies actually contain original Muay Thai kicks and knees strikes, but you can also see slow-mo original Thai action sequences, or classic Hollywood action films like Top Gun. Relax, unwind and enjoy a long movie night in the theater, and prepare for a great Thai movie marathon!

The Killers - One movie that was fairly recently released on DVD is The Killers. The Killers is a Thai drama was recently awarded the top prize at the Los Angeles International Film Festival. This Thai film stars a number of famous Thai actors such as Sukhumvit RZA, and a couple of international film stars. The Killers follows a couple of cousins as they prepare to establish a joint venture. It's an exciting Thai drama with plenty of action and humor.

Pongsatorn, also known as the King of Thongs or the King Rubber Ducky, is another Thai cinema star. Although the film isn't an actual comedy, it's definitely a thriller. It was shot in Bangkok, and stars Thanamin Noh and Dita Joon.

Muay Thai: Here is another horror film worth watching and enjoy. This Thai film is titled Muay Thai: Outbreak. It's a hilarious Thai film based on a real life outbreak in Thailand in which a virus has killed off thousands of farmers. Instead of being a farmer, everybody is an air fighter pilot!

There are numerous excellent Thai horror films you can pick from. Of course, we must not overlook Ledi Robben or Fulong, who are perhaps best known for their martial arts skills. Their Kung Fu movies have been among the most memorable ever created. You can choose from Legend of Xanadu, Swords and Cross, Hura, or Om Shanti. If you discover a good Thai movie on DVD, they are worth taking a take a look.

If you happen to find a film that's more of an entertainment rather than a horror film you must definitely take a look at Phu Islet's Na Muang. Shot in and around Phuket, Thailand, Na Muang is about the story of a young girl who goes to India to spend the summer in India. The film is lighthearted and not too scary. This is the movie to watch if you want to discover what ghosts and ghouls can accomplish.

Last but not last, BNK48 is my top Thai film. Shot in and around Bangkok, this hilarious comedy film follows two brothers who return home from a vacation only to discover their mother has committed suicide. They must now find out the reason for her death and return home before their brother's angry father discovers them. This is among the most enjoyable Thai films I've seen, and if you have never seen a comedy film take a look.

Another comedy film you should check out is Baklava. The film was shot in Bangkok and follows a group of shoppers who live in a street stall. They decide to shop for new clothes for the coming season. หนัง สลัมบอย They are stopped by a armed criminal and brought to the authorities.

Ayee Sayulog (or End of the World) is a different Thai comedy film. It tells the story of a young woman, Aya (Tina Major) who arrives in Thailand from the United States. She is absorbed into the Bumbler culture in Thailand and is forced to adapt quickly to life among Thais. Aya faces many obstacles as she attempts to get away from her destiny and end in Bangkok where she plans to be a dancer. Ayee, like most Thai movies is played by the incredible Thai actresses Phra Ban and Krayem Khan.


The Legend of King David or The Last King is a enjoyable and thrilling film you must watch. It may seem like it takes a great deal of effort to make Thai films, but this is actually a very easy formula. All Thai films follow a very simple formula that includes action sequences, comedy sequences family dramas and adventure sequences. The Legend of King David is not an exception. Wonha portrays David as a royal contender for the throne who must defend and secure his kingdom from enemies from within and outside.

The Legend of King David, like the other great Thai comedy films, was directed by Namo Tongkumnerd, an acclaimed Thai actor and comedian. Namo was the main character in the title role, and also had recurring roles as a comedian in Thai comedy films like Buksh Mai. The late RZA was also a big influence on Namo's acting skills particularly when it related to comedy music. The Legend of King David, like the other classic Thai films can be purchased on DVD and in many video rental shops. If you're looking for a fun Thai film, this might be the best option!
