In my last job, the two companies were giving us different offers for a similar product, in that situation to choose the most appropriate option to finalize the deal the cost-benefit analysis has been done.
The various cost factors such as purchase or retail cost of the product, shipment or transportation cost, applied tax, etc, and benefit factors such as income from product sale, discount offered by the company, etc were used to calculate the net benefit value for the deals of both companies.
These factors helped me to make a better decision because they helped me to understand the strengths and weaknesses of both the options and the cost-benefit analysis helped in making the decision with the most feasible option which was giving us maximum savings or profit.
