过去几个月，冠病疫情在客工宿舍大规模传播，让国人聚焦客工议题。法立认为，最大的问题并非客工的住宿环境或是福利，而是许多人以冷漠的态度看待客工，活动的初衷就是要为两者搭起互动的桥梁，让国人和客工 Q3. (1. 相得益彰 2. 和睦相处 3. 异口同声 4. 两情相悦) 。两年多来，他安排了约 20 次聚餐，一般是由一名外籍劳工中心义工，陪同两名客工上门作客。接待客工的家庭来自社会不同 Q4.（1. 部门 2. 地位 3. 阶层 4. 范围），很多接待者都住在组屋，两房式单位的也有。他们的家虽然不大，但是心胸却很博大。
法立医生的善举是今年国庆庆典分享的55个暖心故事之一，这55个故事将于国庆日当天分段播放。这些故事以视频和访问的形式讲述新加坡人如何相互扶持，尤其是在冠病疫情 Q5.（1. 肆虐 2. 侵犯 3. 流传 4. 渲染）的艰难时期，以无私包容的胸襟向弱势群体伸出援手。
