Young DJs should invest in high quality music. Making music with low bitrates is a waste of time.

I'm not DJ. That's what my life has always been about. In college and at school, I was a DJ but it was impossible for me to accomplish anything else than copy what others did. To be honest, I could not imagine or use my ears to be a professional DJ. I would skip beats and and I would turn on 7th , not 8th. This made my DJ career appear impossible. But I'm a good listener. I can tell if a DJ is missing the beat. I can also discern where they're making mistakes. However, I am not able to entertain people continuously for long periods of time.

But if you're trying to become a DJ, don't let me discourage you. My story shouldn't stop you from going after your goals. I believe in being open to changing and doing what it is you love. Do what you want, and be you. But DJs aren't the only ones, they need constant help to grab onto reality.. It is good to help them see the world around. This is in violation of the TOS of New Trier DJ and is also not acceptable for human ears. The audio quality of any music video or any other type of video is restricted to 128kbps. M4A containers can produce 160kbps. I hope that you don't get confused by these numbers. You'll be a DJ, or a computer sound enthusiast. MP3 is able to store up to 320 kbps of sound quality. It is a great sound, but it's basically a cut-off the sound. MP3 compresses the sound by slicing out the most powerful and highest frequencies. This means that the final sound is lacking something. The deepest house music does not sound as deep when played at 320kbps in MP3 format. It's possible to compare it with playing it on an iynil.

New DJs should not invest time (and possibly cash) in cheap versions of songs that are popular. Beatport, Juno Download and Fruity Loops are great places to start. There is a huge collection of sound quality which is solid and top-quality. This can then be used to make remixes or mashups. This can give you an amazing, rich bass sound, even with a lower quality file. This is what mp3 sound usually misses - great bass, especially in clubs on the amazing sound systems with 10k Watts of speakers.. Any sound defect can be very apparent on a powerful sound system.. However, on the contrary when people will be hearing this sound, the party atmosphere won't allow them to concentrate on the imperfections, as there will be enough noise to drown out everything that is not up to par.


This knowledge must not be enough to make a beginner DJ feel comfortable. Don't forget to improve your sound every day. That is the reason why great musicians and entertainers. You should always invest in your equipment to achieve the best results, most immersive live sets, the best club dancing spirit, and more importantly the best time for your young ones. They'll come back when you offer them top beats. It's the law.
