If a seminar online has exclusive video-related events, do not go through them, but instead download the video file instead.
This works for live videos which are restricted to subscribers only , and have a only a brief duration. It has never stopped me. My home internet is slow and unstable. This is because I'm using the WiFi mobile hotspot located at the motel. I sometimes deliver water to their offices, and I also get their password which is refreshed every few weeks. This saves me money on my home internet as well as I don't have cable, so it will cost a lot to set up. I am renting, to be able to ask my landlord for the password. Do you think it is that difficult to connect your home's broadband connection? I'm not worried about it and instead, I access the internet from my motel. It also allows me to be more stealthy, for all the things I do on the internet, it's better if I don't have a personal street address associated with my IP address..

So whenever an online seminar is offered by my investment advisor or my school has a lecture with a well-known professor, or there is an underground rave streaming, it will be the same. My slow internet connection hinders streaming video. As you can see in the following, downloading video takes about 2-3 times as long as it should. My connection speed is also quite slow. I can only watch videos without buffering interruptions, and my connection is only 30% slower than I would require. There's a way of overcome this limitation in speed. Simply save online video to my computer. This lets me watch it many times without having to stream it once more.




This is exactly what I've been doing lately. I start the Chrome browser. Firefox, Safari and every other browser with an inspect tab. Click on the right-click, call the inspect page and then switch to the network tab, and search for the video playlist files. It will typically be something with the file extension m3u8 within the list of files. Other times it may be a different extension. But these characters will be visible and it will be a fragment playlist for your video. Your video stream is broken up into small files which your browser downloads and then plays in the order in which they are downloaded. This means that you will have continuous streaming. The process is smooth and needs more data transfer than the file size, but this is how mpeg transport stream is created and we shouldn't complain.



The playlist file is selected by right-clicking. I copy its URL address onto the clipboard. Next I visit the website to get online video. I type the video playlist URL into the input box, press submit, and I am presented with several download options. They provide possible file sizes and the transfer time. keepvid The larger the file, the better quality it is. I generally choose lower quality even though it's too much for my Internet.. The majority of times, this playlist has several quality options to aid those who have slower broadband.



I have set the download of the file, typically it's mp4 for video format. It can take a long time, but then the reward is worth it. I don't have an opportunity to tune in when it's streaming, so saving the live video on my laptop makes sense. This is also what I do to stay up to date with all the information offers available these days.. It's a way to keep my brain stimulated with concepts, ideas, and other interesting technological advances. It all comes alive when I save videos and turn off the WiFi. This is something I highly recommend. There's no buffering and no lagging, and smooth streaming.
