Ford F150 Grille Substitute Directions<br>
Operation: Replacing the stock 'honeycomb' grille with a Harley Davidson 'chrome' grille.

Eliminating the grille surround item.



1. Eliminate the jack bar above the radiator

2. Remove the screws (They are plastic so I would use a hand screwdriver and not power) from the plastic radiator cover



Several of my screws would not unscrew, so I applied higher pressure with a flathead screwdriver and it serviced a lot of them. I broke one off even if I couldn't get it out. When I put the screws back in, I just utilized hand stress as well as I really did not need to use a screwdriver. I might need to replace these with steel screws!

3. Remove the edge vehicle parking lights. They are hung on by one celebrity screw from inside the hood. A small flat head could be used if you do not have the right tools.

4. Eliminate all the screws that hang on the Grille border body part. Most are on top under the plastic radiator cover you removed and 2 lag the edge lights you eliminated.

5. Currently here is the largest discomfort. Under the Grille surround you have a plastic shadow that's held on by plastic pins that go in simple, however not out very easy. I used a level head screwdriver and eliminated the two from the sides that affix to the fender. The pins may get a little messed up however I was able to reuse mine.



You only have to remove 2 from each side. Don't remove the pins that are in the facility of the border. These were a HUGE pain in the ass for me. I ended up mutilating my pins and also scraped up my bumper a little. I did not like this action one little bit! I had the ability to put them back in ok.



6. On the bottom of the grille surround somewhere in the center you will certainly see 2 long pieces attaching the bottom of the grille surround to a part of the framework. It's hung on by a clip you ought to be able to press to release.

You have to get to down, behind the grills as well as draw upwards on the small plastic clips. After that pull the grille surround in an outward direction from the truck.



7. Now you ought to have the ability to remove the entire grille surround with grille included.

1. I initially added some lube to the plastic clips that hold the grille on. I then utilized a level head screwdriver to tear the clips open. Take care given that the clips can break if you pry too difficult

4. Check to make sure all clips are tight before putting the grille border back on the vehicle. Do not what to take it off again.



Return all components in reverse order.



This was a little more involved than I believed it would be, but the results are worth it. I'm not looking foward to doing it once more when I mount my haze lights behind that grille!
