Bring your tablet, laptop, or sometimes your smartphone packed with videos to go camping with your loved ones.

This is something I've learned the hard-way. My mother has been in my life all week long to encourage me, reminding me to plan for this and keep that in my mind. I only shared with her my excitement about taking my first camping trip with my kids and her grandkids. But there she was, all over my preparations exhaling and puffing out advice and instructions on every scenario that could come up. My mom's conversation is okay for me, but listening to her lectures can be uncomfortable. I was trying to finish the task more quickly than I was. This was a huge mistake I realized the next day...or two.

We drove out with the car with the intention to drive it all the way to the campsite. I wanted to recreate the experience I had with my father in the times gone by, which is why I picked the most remote location, which was, it turned out, an area that was not service-free. The result was that our mobiles weren't working and we were left completely isolated with no other campers. It's okay. I was expecting an amazing time off working.. 3 days in the wilderness, surrounded by nature.. 24 hours into the camping adventure and we were returning to the car.

What next? There was no Internet and no bars, and nothing. My laptop was in my bag, and it didn't even make it to the bag. I had a great backdrop I could use to entertain my children. They only wanted to check their emails, text messages, school matters, etc. I couldn't stand the idea any longer, and we packed our bags for the return journey. My children sound like little pigs enjoying delicious food after we came out of the wifi-less zone. I truly love my children. But, it was embarrassing. They groaned and squealed as their phones started beeping to signal incoming text messages.

Since then I have been better prepared and try to stay out of an area that does not allow roaming. But, during our lengthy boat ride towards our destination I realized I needed two laptops and two tablets to keep me occupied. My tablet contains Hulu offline video on one side, Netflix films on the other. My laptop contains everything I have in my music and films. I have more than 600 hours of content to watch which includes full episodes of South Park, Friends, Will & Grace and Friends seasons.

I have many videos of children laughing therefore I downloaded a few Youtube videos. A few videos were converted to mp3 and/or mp4 formats. Thanks to this online application, I was able to download videos to my laptop. Then I can view the videos offline using electricity (if needed). I record a lot of TV Shows, Movies and online lectures. These videos I save as mp4 on my Laptop. Later I just play them using VLC, KMP, or almost any other video format that supports 4K.


4k is a second important aspect which I am adamant about. What have you seen? Video is clear, it's incredible. I would recommend it. Televisions with 4K picture support have incredible software that improves and processes the image. So old video becomes so much more appealing on the new TV, even that it's not that good to begin with, just an uninspiring blocky type of recording, but it turns into nice and smooth contemporary video flow. Highly recommending to all the guys and girls!
