Reading the Books in the Hunger Games Franchise
The Hunger Games is a movie about a pair of teenagers known as Katniss and Peeta. They have been awarded the district master's position and Peeta and Katniss, who are both boys but were allowed by their families to take part in the Hunger Games. Due to the popularity of the District 12 poverty the majority of contestants agree to get tributes, which increases their chances of being selected for the Hunger Games. Similar themes are economic difficulties. In the book the young women are being divided into smaller groups to fight for their own survival, without assistance, and are also struggling to eat and get enough sleep.

Although the movie takes place in District 12, rather than the wilds of the Katniss family home the film is based on the District of Coin in which the film is set. Coin is a girl from the richest districts of the city invites her neighbors to send money to poorer districts so that they can better assist their children, who are now beginning to participate in the Games. Two years later, Coin, a wealthy woman, becomes the district chief. Katniss and Panerai, her new partners, attempt to end the chariot race by setting themselves ablaze. This causes civil war that lasts for two years, with the help of districts.

Like the books and the film, the Hunger Games has several central characters that represent different districts. One is the Coin's powerful, feminine adviser who oversees the campaign with her feminine skills. Another is the male tribute, arena fighter, who shows incredible courage and bravery to stand up for the female Coin. Then there are the tributes that are two years old which represent the more affluent districts of the city. These two are combined with the orphans of the less affluent areas to form the districts of Katnissss and Peytre. The game's theme is akin to the films and books: a struggle between good and evil.
