Rosa sat down, leaning against a tree, the other two kids were leaning on the fence.
"So... you're saying this is a farm... and this world is filled to the brim with monster who- eat us?" Angel and Rosa both nodded.
"You are kidding right? Where's the punchline?" Rosa shook her head, "We're not.. we're not kidding..."
"But- Father-"
"Listen, it's not a lie- for god's sake- Father is in on it, he's the reason we're gonna die- CAN'T YOU JUST BELIEVE US AT LEAST?! HE'S THE REASON LIAM'S-"
"Angel, that's enough," Rosa got up, "Lewis, we're planning to escape, we don't have a good stable plan for now, and we don't have many resources..."
She paused to breath, "Escaping could also even get us killed, knowing that, will you be willing to help us?"
He thought for a moment, "Of course..."
Rosa let out a sigh of relief, "Okay, first, we need rope, and we need a plan."
"Rope?"
"To climb the wall-"
"WALL?!"
"Angel, let the poor guy breathe," Rosa scolded.
"Sorry.." he mumbled under his breath.
Rosa continued, "There's a giant wall, if we can climb it and scan the area around it, we could find some kind of exit..."
"How... how tall is this wall?" Rosa and Angel looked at each other, they only knew what Cedric and Ella told Rosa, they didn't even know how tall the wall was.
"Let's go see," Angel stepped over the fence easily. Rosa jumped over the fence, Lewis hesitated but follow a while after.
The wall seemed around sixteen feet tall, towering over the kids, they looked up at it, "How are we supposed to get up there?"
Lewis looked around for a second, absorbing the details of their environment, "We could try the gate instead-"
"No."
There was a small pause, "Okay... maybe something we can climb with?"
Angel put a hand on the wall and took a second to inspect it, "It's way too smooth to climb," Rosa looked around, then pointed at a tall tree close to the wall, "One of us can climb it and see what's up there!"
Almost instantly all eyes were on Lewis, "What?"
"You're the best one at climbing out of all of us! Come on-"
"Angel's more athletic than I am-"
"Hey I didn't agree to this!" Rosa put a hand on Lewis's shoulder, "Come on, do it for our siblings.. we need to know what waits for us if we want to go through with this.."
Lewis sighed, "Fine," he walked towards the tree
