Q1: When I try to turn on my LED flashlight, nothing happens. What is wrong?
A: Initialize the device by connecting the positive-end battery first. SureFire M600df flashlights that do not operate are almost always the result of dead or inverted batteries.
If fresh batteries are fitted and the flashlight still does not work, try the "paper clip test" as follows:
1. To install fresh batteries, first, remove the tailcap by unscrewing and removing the screw.
2. A paper clip or a key will work as a metal object to touch the flat center of the exposed battery terminal and the flashlight's metal rim to switch it on.
Q2: Using a flashlight that flickers is a sign of a problem.
A: Most of the time, this happens when the batteries of M600DF are on the verge of expiring. The batteries need to be replaced.
Q3: The low-output option on my dual-output flashlight does not operate; what is wrong?
A: When the batteries are almost completely exhausted, the low-output setting is the only one that works. You will get a warning and useable light at the same time. Recharge the batteries if necessary.
Q4: I am unable to remove the flashlight's head; what is wrong?
A: Some SureFire M600df and WeaponLight flashlight heads are permanently attached and cannot be removed. If your illuminating tool's head cannot be unscrewed using only your hands, it is not designed to be removed.
Your warranty is VOID if you remove or attempt to remove the fixed illumination tool head.
Q5: How often should I service the different elements of my flashlight?
m600df : Using a cloth, paper towel, or other absorbent material, clean the threads on the tail cap and the top of the hat.
Maintain a clean flat surface at the threaded section's other end and in the tailcap's corresponding area to guarantee good electrical contact.
Remove any dirt or debris from the O-rings and lightly coat them with silicone greases, such as Nyogel or SCUBA equipment oil, with a cotton swab or something similar.
NOTE: Do not forget to grease the O-rings! Avoid the use of spray lubricants at all costs. Avoid using lubricants with a high petroleum content. Cleaning your lamp should not involve the use of any of the following: acid, alkaline, or petroleum solvents.
Q6: What is the best way to keep my flashlight's tail cap switch from being used?
A: To begin, check to see if your M600DF flashlight is working properly. As soon as you have done this, try pressing the tail cap switch or wiggling the tailcap from side to side until the light does not come on.
This means that if you press the tail-cap switch and nothing happens, the switch is stuck in the off position. To make sure it is locked out, unscrew the tailcap a third of the way. You can use the small "scoop" mark on the rim of your tailcap as a guide for how much to unscrew it to lock out the switch in the future.
NOTE: It is important to remember to always press the tail cap switch after locking out your flashlight to make sure it is locked out.
Q7: Can I buy a pocket clip separately and attach it to my light, if it didn't come?
A: No. For some reason, pocket clips are only compatible with flashlights that initially came equipped with them.
