The online video storage service is not reliable websites can shut down or cease to function. Here are the steps to back up your social media profiles on your laptop.

They both copy each other and make sure there's at least one copy if one of the HDDs fails. Because I rarely copy my laptop's contents the laptop, I've made it so that two drives aren't separated at once.

My other big day of sadness was couple of months ago.. I'm careful not lose my work. As I mentioned I've copied it numerous times and am able to access it whenever the internet is available. This was Periscope. I was a frequent user of it times in the past. I even participated in live streaming during the Riots of summer 2020. Periscope TV has now closed and all videos are scheduled to disappear in the next few weeks. What should I do? I'm looking to download the entire video to save them on my laptop. These are very important to me. It's the last time I've hung with a friend who disappeared from the radar during Covid and it appears to have gotten him..


This site is one I frequently visit. It lets me download videos from Youtube and Instagram and Facebook - which are some of the platforms which I save the majority of my live streams. I am passionate about politics as well as underground movements. Therefore, I film lots of live events to save them, then upload videos on my YouTube channel, and then back it up in my laptop every time it is over. This is the way I work. Plus it allows me to cross-post videos to different platforms. I can not only share Youtube video on Facebook and upload the video to Facebook and let it be an original video of its own. Over the last 8 years, I have three TB of live streams. Periscope Lives aren't going away.. It's been very helpful to me a lot.

It works like a charm. After I have viewed the video I want I copy the URL via the sharing link. Next, I go to the video downloader website and copy the URL. I then download the video to my computer or onto my desktop. I can save the video to my computer for play on different platforms. You can also give it to my friends. Periscope cannot be available on every website. But it is supported by this one.

By the way, if you were unaware, you can actually make windows copy commands to help you combine these fragments and create a standard 1 long video file. It's because of MpegTS the format used for video that is used to split the video fragments. Also called transport stream. The stream is comprised of all the information needed to decode each fragment. They are distinct from each other, which allows each newcomer to stream smoothly. It also saves data on the browser, as it downloads 360x10 second files instead of the standard 1hr file. So, even if you only watch 25 seconds of the stream it will only download 4-6 pieces. (It gets 3-4 fragments from the 25 second segment, and 1-2 subsequent fragments if you keep watching the stream). This greatly reduces the total download required to watch just 25 sec from the center of the stream. - there is no need to download the entire 1hr of video prior to that 25 seconds..
