Online video storage can be unreliable. Sites may close down or go out of business. Here are some methods to back up your social video accounts on your personal laptop.

My personal story isn't a a big one... My story is not a long one. I was born, went to school, worked, and then finally, I was online. However, it does include certain traumatic events that made me thought my life was over. One of those times was when my computer at home ceased to respond. After some tweaking, getting new desktops and shifting the hard drive from one to the other, I was finally able to restore all the work that was stored on the drive. It took me 3 days to sweat and cry... but I learned one thing. Dropbox and my personal ftp server can be able to backup automatically and manually my work day so that it is never lost.

This is definitely not the ideal option. The larger your online data storage, the more will need to pay to preserve it. It's easy to use and seems very safe. It is also easily accessible and can be downloaded from any location with internet access. But what happens if internet isn't accessible? I prefer keeping my laptop close at hand for those instances. It's my last line of defense against loss of data. There are two drives on it, one for each HDD. This lets them duplicate each other, and ensures that one copy remains in case of failure. I copy only data there, mostly, so seldom do I make my laptop work. I'm hoping two drives won't be destroyed at the same time..

Another day of immense sadness occurred just a few weeks back. I'm very careful not to lose all my work, as I said earlier, I now duplicate it many times and have access to it wherever internet is available. no tube It was not about Periscope. I was a frequent user few years back, and even this last summer during the riots, I participated in a few live streams.. Then all of a sudden Periscope TV is closing, and all the videos will disappear in just two weeks. What should I do? I need all the videos downloaded , so they are able to be saved offline on my laptop. They are very important to me. This was the last time we hung out with my friend.

The site I am using is one I regularly visit and it allows me to download videos from Youtube, Instagram and Facebook, - some of the other websites that have the bulk of my live streams. I am a passionate supporter of politics and underground movements. Therefore, I film numerous live events to save them, then upload some on my Youtube channel, and backup it on my laptop every time it ends. This is the way I do it. This allows me cross-post videos to different platforms. Not only can I share Youtube videos on Facebook and Twitter, but I can also upload the video directly onto Facebook. It's its own video. In the end, I have over 3TB of live streams I've made in the last 8 years. Periscope will not go away.. This site is a great help to me.

It's as easy as. I open video I want to download on Periscope, Youtube or Facebook, copy its URL via the share link. Then I navigate to the website for video downloaders and paste the video URL where they want it, press the big button and within seconds I see multiple choices to download the video, save it to my desktop or laptop, to transfer it across different platforms and simple preserve it for my friends and family. It's not every site that can assist with Periscope but this one does well, it can handle m3u8 file formats that other websites usually download on your behalf.. Those work well, but don't get me wrong but they're actually based on online video feed fragments and playing the video in VLC although it's great doesn't actually accomplish the task as the video isn't in your system but it's on the internet and playing from the Internet, when player loads small fragments of video one by one...

Windows copy is a method to merge these fragments into a single file. It happens because of the format of video used to create the video fragments - Mpeg TS aka transport stream. The stream is comprised of all the details needed to decode every fragment. They are completely independent of each other, which allows each newcomer to stream seamlessly. It saves browser data, too. Instead of downloading a file lasting 1 hour, it downloads 360 x 10-second files. If you only watch 25 seconds, the player will download 3-4 fragments. The current 25-second segment gets 3-4 fragments. This lets you save lots of data by downloading only 25 seconds of stream video.
