Tempeh and Green Soybeans
Green soybeans are a popular food item served in Japanese restaurants. Edamame, which is a type of soybean, can be enjoyed if you've never tried it before, or simply to see what it tastes like. It is important to know that despite being a plant-based product, edamame that comes from Japan is not complete protein as it is deficient in healthy fats you require to nourish your body.

Since edamame does not constitute a complete protein and therefore does not offer the same nutrients as the other varieties of soybeans available that are available. It is a good source of healthy calories and protein. Soy is a complete protein which means it has all eight amino acids. This is a lot more than what you get from just one type of meat or poultry which is the only animal product that is believed to be complete.

It is interesting that the Japanese eat a lot of green soybeans every day, but they don't include the bean in their food preparation. While I am not sure whether the fat content of tempeh is the reason for your excessive weight, it's something to think about. While green soybeans and tempeh are the most consumed foods in Japan however, the Chinese consume a significant amount of both tempeh and soybeans, which could be contributing to the high rate of obesity in the country. This may partly be due to the fact that these items are nearly devoid of calories, something isn't a part of the majority of American dietitians' meals.
