Part of The American Film Institute's 100 Greatest Movies...100 Movie Quotes is an extract from the recently released DVD of George C. Scott's western film, Collision Course. The film was made by none other than Clint Eastwood, who also did some of Hollywood's best films such as The Man Who Played With His Own Dog and Someone to Love You. The American Film Institute presented the list on CBS on June 21st, 2021, following a three hour special on the network. Included in the clip were some legendary movie quotes, which may make you feel like they are made just for this film. You'll find the usual block quote, which is usually used by filmmakers when showing a classic movie, as well as more out of left field pieces that might get you to think of a movie that is completely different but had the director do something interesting with the story. Personally I like the bit where Scott calls his horse Pinky the Eel, which probably won't get many laughs in the classroom but will certainly make some people smile when seen on DVD.

If you have never seen the original version of Shrek (in English, anyway) you owe it yourself to take another look at one of the most famous movie quotes in existence. Even if you didn't like the movie when it was first shown (and there was a lot of it that you did not like), chances are that you will end up loving it once you see the brilliant Shrek (and all of its silly, animated, fantasy elements). There really is no reason why you shouldn't watch the original - in fact, you should go back and watch it three or four times just so that you can savor every single funny line, every beautiful fairy falling in love with a prince, and every magical moment that is depicted in the timeless Shrek movies.
