If I was in enemy territory, I did not have Internet access to access my presentation. How I rectified the situation

This was one of my personal most embarrassing business trip. I was asked to join my colleagues in a team. We were heading south to meet the oil tycoon from the Middle Eastern Region. There were several phases of the presentation. I was invited to attend one of them, since I was one of the people most actively working on the project. This was my opportunity to demonstrate to my boss that I'm prepared to play in the big leagues and join the big girls. Although I know it may sound a bit offensive, but I was talking about adult girls or more accurately, business women.

It went well. The date and time of the portion that I was responsible for was handed to me. It was scheduled to be held in an underground bunker. I was responsible for security on the internet in the crisis room of the local insanely wealthy businessman. I will keep names and tituls out of this story, as I don't intend to blame anyone else or make anyone recognize me through my writing exercises. The purpose of the demonstration was to simulate a real-life sequence of events that will lead this business man to withdraw to his panic zone with close family members and a small force. The original intention was to show the demonstration, and also to explain how one can overcome these formidable forces.


We have all gone underground, and then entered the dark room. The room was dim to conceal the massive weaponry that was hidden inside the walls. It was quite a frightening scenario. Let's not worry about it. I am now preparing for the Powerpoint portion of the presentation. You're not allowed to connect to the internet? There's no Internet. Are you kidding me? It's not a joke. Lockdown has already started and there's no way out to access the email where the presentation is located. This isn't the only time I'm doing it. The other night, I went online to use the Youtube to mp3 converter and besides copying audio off the video of the presentation to work more on remembering my speech instead of reading it off the paper, I've also downloaded the video mp4 version of the presentation. This was an accident that I was searching for a better audio format. But I'm here in need of the presentation and it's already in my laptop, waiting to go.

I was blessed. I was lucky. The presentation was only three minutes long, and it conveyed confidence. It brought in 47 new clients, many of whom are higher-end, who have signed contracts in excess of hundreds of thousands. We'll continue working with them in the near future.
