My kids and I travel together with our children. We aren't able to always count on Wi-Fi on top of the mountain, so we make sure to prepare at home.

Yes, that was it.. My kids think the WiFi high in the mountains isn't that great. Although it is a small hill, it's within the normal range for cell phone service so my children have to explore the area in search of better internet. My wife and I set up the small campsite. We're planning to stay there for several days. The creek that runs nearby provides fresh water. It's true.. Our wife cannot go camping without having plenty of water. Therefore, we always have our own.

And so my children are updating their social networks, while I'm taking in the view.. Although the hill is small, it's surrounded many larger ones. At times, we make it out into the hills in order to be connected with nature. While I don't plan these excursions, I find them very enjoyable. It's my wife that insists on doing this, perhaps partially because she knows how much I love being out in the wilderness. However, my children, they're a different story totally. Internet is sometimes unavailable. Your streaming music may be interrupted by something in the cloud or other magnetic movements for up to one minute before it resumes. It is a problem for me as I typically end up hearing it all.

We decided to prepare after having a few gruelling trips without internet, where the internet connection on our phones was not working as it should. My wife and I decided we'd be prepared for the day that our kids will not have access to the internet for more than 10 minutes. We created two sources of entertainment that will keep us entertained in the event that internet isn't accessible on camping trips. The other was a tablet that contained music videos as well as the most popular songs on the charts. The most effective Youtube mp3 converter allowed us to extract songs from videos and convert them to MP3 files, which could be downloaded onto our tablet. It also was able to work with playlists so it was extremely fast, despite it sounding terrible. For those who were having a bad day or were bored you could listen to music, see videos, and - lucky for us all! - hear sound via headphones with blue tooth. Are you thinking that's awesome? It did not make a sound.

The second tablet was mostly television shows, cartoons and movies we downloaded from Hulu as well as Netflix. The apps offer offline storage, so you can play them later. Although the quality may not be the best, it is sufficient enough to hold many seasons of cartoons and shows, such as Family Guy, Disenchantment, and Breaking Bad. It was enjoyable and easy. Tablet 2 came in one or 2 times following tablet 1 when it first joined the group at The Wild, my kids could not stop using it to watch shows and use it. There were a few DIY videos I put on, like setting up the tent or skinning fresh caught fish. You might not have these options in the city. These videos were sourced from Youtube. I converted them into MP4 and later downloaded them onto my tablet. It's much easier to have video on your tablet when you're at work and don't want to wait for video to be streamed.


These two tricks have kept my children entertained on four camping trips with the family. They're also happy to go out, since they know that tablet 2 will make their dull leisure time more enjoyable. And they can take it home anytime they want. I've never felt more content. I am awestruck by my family.
