In fact, butternut squash is very easy to grow and is extremely forgiving when it comes to soil and pest infestations. Carrots, beets, peas and radishes all go great with the soft texture and nutty flavour. If you try serving it alongside pumpkin then you will get one of the most delicious textures in this world with the combination of spices and the heat from the pumpkin. If you use fresh butternut squash you can even puree it and use it as a vegetable in soups and stews. Pumpkin soup is one of the most popular combinations and a nice way to get one of these Fall fruits.

Finally, there is another way of cooking butternut squash which is called roasting it. To roast it you will need to take a piece of fat cut into strips and wrap it round the outside of the squash. You can then either roast it on a spit or in the oven. When it is roasted you can notice the outer skin getting almost dry so do not over dry it. Once the squash is roasted give it a few shakes to get rid of any excess moisture and you will have one scrumptious dish.
