Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

The story is straightforward: Bruno is really a nine yr old boy, who's moved from his home to a whole new house. It's small, cold, unfamiliar and also on the outskirts of an Nazi concentration camp. The people on the fence wear striped pyjamas and always look sad. There's numerous kids, but nobody to play with. Bruno is lonely, bored and curious. His home is stuffed with soldiers who wear impressive uniforms, click their heels together and raise their right arms in salute. One day whilst exploring, Bruno encounters another nine yr old boy, who wears strange, striped pyjamas. It's a friendship born from loneliness, a want to break away from tedium and a desire to have a buddy.
The characters each play their part with purpose. You may know the location where the next turn leads, however your heart begs it not to be true. Galloping with the narrative, you're swept from a childlike innocence on the climaxing, heartbreaking final scene.
The novel is 200 pages long, easy enough to learn everyday and often will stick with you for a lot of more. Bruno doesn't meet Shmuel until halfway through the novel, lots of time to enable you to are in his world, experience his boredom and loneliness, living on a daily basis without direction. My understanding of the Holocaust is pretty limited, but research tells me instances could possibly have some truth. My child self revelled inside wonder, the curiosity, the essence of innocence. Yet, my adult self quickly realised that which was happening and was sickened. Still, I couldn't turn away.
