Since you can't rely on WiFi at the summit of a mountain, I make sure my children are well-prepared to travel with us.

Yes I have.. My kids are so terrible at this that they think that the internet on high up on the mountain is weak. It's not a big hill however it's a bit above the normal cell network range, so my kids have to walk around to find an area that is better for faster internet while my wife and I have set up a small camping site. This is a great place for us to stay for some time. There's a small river close by that supplies fresh water although we don't have any. Yes.. My wife isn't able to camp without plenty of water therefore we'll bring our own.

While my kids check their Facebook profiles while I take in the views. ytmp3 The hill itself isn't very huge, but it's in close proximity by much bigger ones. We visit this hill occasionally in order to feel closer to Mother Earth. Although I take pleasure in these excursions, it is not my intention to initiate them. My wife is the only one who insists on taking them, perhaps partly because she is aware of how much I love being out there in the wild. My kids are totally different. Internet is usually not available. Clouds or perhaps other magnetic motions can interrupt your streaming song for a few minutes before it resumes. This is a pain for me, even although it happens frequently.

So, after several excursions that were not connected to the internet and where our normal internet was constantly dropping between a few and a couple of hours We determined to be prepared. We, which is my wife and I made a decision to prepare for the possibility that our kids will not have internet for more then 10 minutes. We came up with two entertainment options that could be used when Internet isn't accessible on camping excursions. The other was a tablet, which contained charts and music videos. Our top Youtube MP3 converter was able to take songs from YouTube videos, transform to an MP3 format before downloading them onto the tablet. It works with playlists too which makes it a quick process, despite the fact that it's quite lengthy. It is now possible to listen to music or view videos if you feel bored. The second tablet was mostly filled with television shows and cartoons we have downloaded thru Hulu and Netflix apps that offer offline storage for later watching. The quality isn't great, but it's still something. There are numerous seasons of Breaking Bad there and many shows like Family Guy and Disenchantment. It was very entertaining and quite easy too.. Simply install the app, turn on downloads for offline viewing and then download the episodes. mark the download date and then forget the app will take care of everything by itself. Tablet 2 was delivered 1 or 2 times in the time between tablet 1 and when it first joined us in The Wild, my kids could not stop using it to watch shows and use it. I personally added several DIY videos for example, like setting up the tent and skinning fresh caught fish.. These are things you can't perform at home. These videos were sourced from Youtube. I converted them to MP4 then downloaded them to my tablet. It's much more convenient to have videos on your tablet all the time.


These two tips have kept our children engaged on four family camping outings. While they may not like getting out anymore, they know that tablet 2, will keep them busy in boring idle time. They will also take it home when they're finished. I've never felt more content. I enjoy spending time with my family.
