Definition of types of resources------
Based on ORIGIN _
1] Biotic- The resources which are living and are obtained from biosphere , like humans, flora, fauna , livestock etc.
2] Abiotic- All the things in nature/atmosphere which are composed of non-living things like rocks, minerals, metals etc.
Based on EXHAUSTIBILITY _
1] Renewable- The resources which can be renewed / obtained /gained by any physical, chemical or mechanical process .
these are also known as replenish-able resources . Example: Solar-Wind energy , water, wildlife, forest
2] Non-Renewable - The resources which take very long geological time to get renewed and sometimes never get
replenished . Minerals and fossil fuels take millions of years for their re-formation and some
resources like metals can be recycled but some cannot be reobtained .
Based on OWNERSHIP _
1]Individual Resources - The resources like land, farm , plots ,property which are owned by an individual or his/her
family come under this category . Example: Private Cultivation land, plots etc.
2] Community Resource - These are the resources which are accessible to all the members of the community or people of
single area... Example: Public parks, picnic parks , playground, etc....
3] National Resources -
