Spend https://palampurpanorama.com of the day exploring the local market, always bustling with colors and energy all around. There is a local Bus service in Dharamshala and Mcleodganj and it travels to almost all major spots in and around Dharamshala. The nearest major railway station is at Pathankot, 90 km away. This station has train connectivity with Pathankot, Baijnath and Joginder Nagar. You can drive by your own vehicle, board a Bus, catch a train or fly to the nearest airport. How to Reach the Norbulingka Institute: Catch a bus from Dharamshala bus stand heading towards Palampur and get down at Sidhpur near to Sacred Heart School. It will take you no more than 2 hours to reach back Gallu Devi Temple because walking back down is easier than climbing up. Now the above itinerary was perfect for someone wanting to focus more on Mcleodganj and including a bit of trekking in their trip as well. For more details on Dharamkot, please read Dharamkot Travel Guide. In my last few articles, I talked in detail about a trip to Dharamshala and Mcleodganj separately; covering details like how to reach, where to stay, and tourist attractions that a person should visit.
There are a few tea shops near the waterfall and also on the way so you can also have your morning tea and breakfast here. Starting really early in the morning will also give you the benefit of avoiding a traffic jam that can be maddening sometimes. The Bunker Hostel is another one where it will cost you about Rs. Winter - Between October and February: The temperature dropping to a chilling -1°C and surprise snow falls make this weather one of the best times to visit Mcleodganj. It actually falls on the way to Gallu Devi Temple. For trekking to Triund, first either board a rickshaw or taxi from Mcleodganj till Gallu Devi Temple. Tourists must also visit the scenic Dal Lake and Triund, which are apt for quiet picnics. During this season, tourists can enjoy the snowy views of the Himalayas. You will be camping at top of Triund under countless stars and stunning views all around you. In this particular post, I will put all of this information together and talk about how you can plan your Dharamshala Mcleodganj Trip over a period of 4 - 5 days covering all of these places. As per this itinerary, you will be dividing your time between Dharamshala and Mcleodganj.
The villages of Dharamkot, Naddi, Gallu, and Bhagsu, however, have no hospitals and you will have to come down to Mcleodganj. I will draft a sample itinerary and then run it down providing a day by day breakup of sightseeing and other activities. Hopefully, after reading this article, you will have a fair enough idea of how you can plan your trip in the best possible manner. Get up early if possible and your first destination will be the Bhagsu Waterfall. Then a visit as soon as possible to this place should be in your wish-list. Return to the hotel in time and then reach Sunset point to enjoy an amazing view of the Sunset from Mcleodganj. With tourist attractions and nearby places in Mcleodganj, such as Triund, Namgyal Monastery, St. John's Church, Dip Tse-Chok Ling Gompa, Tsuglagkhang Complex (Dalai Lama Temple), Kangra Fort, Indrahar Pass, Norbulingka Institute, Dal Lake, Sunset Point, and Dharamkot, Himachal tourism attracts all to spend their leisure time in the best travel ambiance.
