Axel Henry -
Not looking for exactly the same type of profile/position, probably more focused on modelling. Probably someone who is quite experienced in the technical side - valuation models, spreadsheets.
Generally they've hired people from fund finance-type teams in middle/back office who are keen to carry on doing this in a consulting firm.
Ideal would be to hire at the senior consultant level to be promoted to manager within 2 years or so. 5+ years of experience but less than 10.
Compared to what Travis does, this team tends to do system implementations as a key component of the job. Working on the implementations themselves in a consultative capacity. Requires very strong modelling and building skills which they find to be very transferable from spreadsheets.
One headcount to start with and likely to be a second one next year.
Reason for hire - expansion of the business, increased workload and movement within the team. Understaffed.
Likely to be three interviews - 1st intro, 2nd perhaps with a business case/model, potentially but not necessarily a 3rd with exec directors to confirm if necessary but this isn't always the case.
Lionpoint are growing quickly and they're keen to find someone committed to being part of that growth. Great potential to fast-track career within a smaller organisation. Someone who is interested in the diversity of a consulting role, understands what consulting is about - not doing the same things over and over again.
EPM team - Axel, one manager, 2 junior consultants. Idea is to bring this person in as a senior consultant with a view to becoming manager within a reasonable timeframe with people to manage.
