Online video storage is not reliable. Websites may shut down or cease to function. Here's how to backup your social media videos onto your personal computer.

My story isn't a big one... I was born, went on to college, worked, fought, and finally, achieved something online. There were also some moments in which I felt as if all was lost forever. One of those times was when my computer at home ceased to respond. After some fiddlingaround, moving my old desktop into the new one and a bit more fiddling, I was eventually capable of restoring the entire work stored on the drive. It took me three days of sweating, literally crying... I've learned one thing. It is possible to automate or manually backup my entire day's work with Dropbox and my personal FTP servers to ensure that nothing can ever be erased.

However, it isn't the best choice. The more data you store online, the more is required to keep it all on the internet. It's very simple and appears to be quite secure. It's possible to download it anywhere the internet allows. But what happens when the internet isn't available? I always keep my laptop handy in these situations. It is my last refuge from the most difficult situations. There are two drives on it and one for each HDD. This allows them to copy one another and makes sure that only one copy is left in the event of a failure. youtube downloader Because I copy most of my stuff there, it's rare that my laptop is working. Another day of sorrow was a couple of months back.. I'm very careful not to lose my work. It's a website that I regularly visit. It helps me download my videos for Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook - the other sites that host my live streaming. I am a fan of politics and underground movements, so I record a lot of live events, store them for the future and publish them on my YouTube channel, and when the live stream is done, I backup the video to my laptop. This is how I do it. It allows me to cross-posting videos on different platforms. Not only can I share Youtube videos on Facebook and Twitter, but I can also upload that video directly onto Facebook. It's a breeze. The video I want to save to Periscope or Youtube is displayed. I copy the URL using the share button. After that, I head to the video downloader site. After copying the URL, I hit the big button. Within seconds, I see several choices to save the video to my laptop or desktop. To share it across different platforms, as well as to preserve it for family and friends. Periscope might not be available on all sites. This site is able to manage the m3u8 file other sites download on behalf of you. Then, I go to the website for video downloaders and paste my video link where they want it. Then, I press the large button. The video isn't downloaded to my computer, it's online and can be played online as the player downloads small fragments of files one by one.

Windows copy can be used to combine these fragments into a single file. This is because of the video format used to create the fragments: MpegTS, also referred to as a transport stream. It includes all the data needed for video decoding within each fragment and makes them separate from the stream so that each new user can start streaming from the middle without delay. However, it helps browser save on data transfer, because instead of one hour of data, it is able to download 360 x 10 seconds long files. The software only downloads the ones you are watching. So, if you only watch 25 seconds of the stream, the player downloads only 4-6 pieces (it gets 3-4 fragments of the 25 second stretch currently in play, plus 1-2 following fragments, in case you continue viewing the stream). This allows you to reduce the amount of data you need by downloading just 25 seconds of video stream.
