Romanesque Architecture
Romanesque architecture is an architectural style prevalent in western Europe between the middle-11th and the beginning of Gothic architecture. A fusion of ancient Roman, German, and Eastern Roman, it was also an outcome of the rise of asceticism during the early 10th century. The Romanesque period architecture was characterized by the use of heavy flat roofs on structures.

Romanesque architecture has its roots in Italy. Although most structures are built with arches, there are roofs that have pointed arches and tiling. Many structures have vaulted ceilings that are decorated with ornamental carvings. ต้นศิลป์ The Romanesque buildings are characterized by heavy ornamentation, like cornices, however there are also several examples of plain, functional constructions. Romanesque architecture features several themes. This includes temples, villas schools, palaces, schools, fortresses and towers.

In addition to Romanesque architecture, other architectural styles are Gothic which is heavily influenced by Greek architecture; German, which borrowed the Roman models for its own structures; and Norman that combines elements from the three styles. In many cities across Europe both Gothic and Norman have gone out of fashion, whereas in others new styles of Romanesque architecture have replaced them. Gothic, once a dominant design in large cities, has become a minority.

Gothic architecture, which is characterized by thin, tall stone walls, is characterized by sharp corners, deep doors, and many smaller windows. Gothic structures can be found everywhere, including on farms, although more rural Romanesque sculptures are available. Gothic architecture uses natural materials such as wood, stone, metal and marble most of the time.

Romanesque architecture has a distinctive characteristic archways. Arches were initially used to support columns, and to embellish walls. As the style evolved the use of arches became more important to support staircases and provide visual interest to buildings. It is unclear whether Romans were inspired from designs of other civilisations, such as Egypt or the Parthians. Some scholars believe that Romanesque arches were inspired by the columns of Segovia of the early Rome.

The Romanesque period witnessed the flowering of one of the most important artistic movements in history: tutelage. Scutelage was named in honor of Verona the city in which it was first established. It was home to numerous structures such as guardhouses and barns as well as churches, granaries, and granaries. The construction of these structures included arches, which were constructed together with windows and doors. Scutels were used to provide shelter and embellish the buildings, hence the term "scutelage".

Romanesque architecture's most notable feature is the use of arches. Most of the homes of the time were built around arches that, according to statistics, comprise more than a third of the roofing systems of the present. Romanesque arches are also very elegant, with designs in a variety of shapes like ovals and circles, rectangles, and the more recently popular squares. They can be constructed from wood or from stone. While the most popular type of Romanesque architecture is the rounded or squared arch, artisans are also recognized for creating arches out of other materials.

Today, Romanesque architecture continues to be extensively utilized in the fields of construction, housing and town planning and landscape design, architecture furniture, interior design engineering, and decorative arts. Romanesque design has influenced much of the architecture that was used in Europe and the United States during the last two centuries. This style has not had much influence on Indian buildings or other aspects of public life. These palaces, huts and temples, and other structures were not influenced by Romanesque architecture. In the end, the Indian Romanesque tradition has been left to the fringes, with many of its intricate details and artistic flourishes being lost in the mists and mists of time.
