To introduce children to letters, a multisensory method uses a variety of methods. Every sound is presented with the form of a story and an action along with a Sound Sheet. Children are more likely to retain the sound by engaging in activities that are related to it.

They can, for instance, rub their stomachs and use the word "mmmmm", for the"mmm" sound.

The sound 'r' is taught by doing action with two hands spread and acting like an aeroplane. ......'.

The sound 'h' can be taught as if one is tired and makes 'ha ......' sounds.

Each child is given each child is given a distinct 'Sound' Book. Every day, the book will contain the letter sound. The book can be stored and then taken home by each child. Parents are encouraged to assist children learn the sounds. This can be done with the help of the Sound Book and/or cutting up the letters. In order to be able to mix quickly, it is essential to master the sounds of letters fluent. The flashcards of every day should be presented to youngsters to use as an visual aid. Two letters can represent some sound, which are called digraphs. Children must be adept at recognizing digraphs inside words, like the 'ng' that is in the word'. Every digraph 'oo' as well as "th" are two different vowels: e.g., book and moon thin and that. Jolly Phonics has them written in two sizes, at first to make it easier for children to grasp both sounds.

2. Learning Letter Formation
Jolly-Phonics-Reading
The children are taught to correctly form each letter as they learn the sounds of letters. Initially, the teacher will have the children form the letters at the same time in the air. In the first 12 weeks, most children will be able to form letters properly by focusing on and writing every letter.

It is also essential that children learn to hold their pencils properly, using an ergonomic grip like the tripod.

Jolly Phonics makes use of the Sassoon Infant text face with joining tails. This makes it easier for children to master written cursive (joined-up) spelling.

3. Blending
Jolly phonics Blending-Jolly Reading
The children need to learn the sounds they hear and how to mix them together to form words. It starts on the first day. It is crucial to ensure that children can hear of their teacher's voice. For instance, "Listen carefully, what word do I say... d-o-g?" Certain children may be able to hear "dog". A few more words are feasible, for example,'su-n" or "boy" or'mou-se'.

After they learn to recognize the sounds and hear them spoken, they'll be able to develop their own language. To read, youngsters must be able mix letters in a fluent manner. This skill is crucial to begin and can be used to begin understanding new words. Children must be able to identify consonant digraphs and blend into words such as fl-a'g"' and "sh-o'.

Once children have learned the sounds of the letters and are able to read simple regular words, they are able to take the 'Word Boxes home to practice. Word Boxes are simple words made from the first set letters. Children who are able to mix words quickly can become proficient readers.

In the beginning, only one way of spelling vowels can be learned. The children should be able of mixing these spellings before they are taught alternative spellings.

Once the children have finished with the Word Boxes and discovered some uncommon keywords, they should be handed out books of stories. Explain to parents that your child won't be allowed to bring the book home until they have learned the art of blending. Parents should help children to discuss the books they have read.

4. Identifying Sounds in Words
Making out sounds in words-Jolly Reading
Children need to be able hear individual sounds in words. This is particularly important when it comes to writing. Children will be required to listen closely and then ask if they can identify a particular sound in the words. For instance, "Is there an's" in "sun", "mouse" as well as "dog '?"; "If there's an's", where is it coming from - the middle, end, or beginning?" Then, help children to make use of their sense of sound to identify the words they are hearing. You can practice by using words like 'hat'. Children should be able to respond with 'h'a't. They should hold up 1 finger per sound. ,... "h-a't" three fingers to represent three sound; and'shi-p' 3 fingers when they hear three different sounds. Then, you can go on to more complex words, such as those with initial and final consonant blends.

When the children speak and the teacher writes letters across the board. Children then examine the word and make sounds. They blend the sounds to read it. This will help you gain greater understanding of the process of writing and reading. The ability to write can be improved by practicing a few writing exercises every day.

A child is able to write on their own after they're able and write the sounds. Although they won't be able to spell correctly initially, their work can still be read. At the end of their first year, the majority of children will be able write simple news and stories on their own. They can write whatever they want, because they aren't bound to the words they already know. Learning to spell correctly takes time, as well as reading books and acquiring the different vowel sounds.

5. Tricky Words
tricky-words-jolly-phonics Jolly Reading
After the first month, most children have mastered 18 letter sounds. They've also learned how to blend common words in a group task. After that, they will begin to study difficult words. Tricky words are ones that cannot be merged. They can be introduced slowly using Jolly Phonics Tricky Word Cards. Look at the "tricky" portion of every word. For example, "was" has an /o/ sound , instead of an /a sound. You should be able to instruct 2-3 times per week and be on top of spelling and reading.

These spelling techniques are used to: (Cover, Write and Examine)

Say It as It Sounds. You can, for instance, pronounce 'mother' with a short sound of /o/, so it rhymes with the word 'bother.

Mnemonics can be used to spell the word "people" (e.g., "people eat omelets people love eggs")

Jolly Phonics was thoroughly studied and found to be extremely efficient. Here are some quotes from three research projects dealing with synthetic phonics. One was conducted in England and one from Scotland in Scotland and Canada. Synthetic Phonics is a method that focuses on the teaching of individual letter sounds and how they can be combined to create words. That is Jolly Phonics' core approach to teaching.

International Research & Study :

Demo: He just completed Phonics at Sr. KG. He is now going to First. Indian Mythological stories have difficult words that aren't always read Phonetically however he's proficiently reading the stories. We focus on reading to help children become efficient Independent Readers and does not require students to learn Advanced Phonics
The Research:
"Jolly Phonics children were twelve months ahead of the expected level in reading ability for their age." "The synthetic phonics classes performed better than the whole language classes on 16 of 19 reading or spelling measures" "Jolly Phonics was able to produce long-lasting results, as demonstrated by the data."
Demo: He has just accomplished Phonics at Sr. KG. In the next few weeks, he will move to First. Indian Mythological stories have difficult words that aren't always read Phonetically but he's reading all very efficiently. We emphasize the reading process that allows children to become proficient Independent Readers and do not need the students to complete Advanced Phonics
