Each player will have a 15 minute timer, which runs only during their own move. There are plenty of apps you can get that do this for you (search 'chess timer').
If you move a piece but don't let go, you can still move it back, but once you let go you can't undo your move and should immediately switch the timer.
If you touch a piece, you may still decide to move a different piece instead.
You may castle with two hands but for everything else you may only use one hand at a time.
You must switch the timer with the same hand you moved the piece with.
If you take a piece on your move, you must put the piece down before switching the timer.
You must wait for your opponent to switch the timer before you can touch any pieces.
The game is won if the opponent's king is in check and there is no way to break the check in 1 move.
The game is drawn on stalemate, fivefold repetition, 75-move rule, or insufficient material. Either player can also *claim a draw* on threefold repetition or 50-move rule, or can mutually agree to a draw at any point in the game. The correct procedure for an offer of a draw is to first make a move, verbally offer the draw, then press the clock. The other player may indicate acceptance, or decline the draw offer by making a move, in which case the draw offer is no longer in effect. Drawn games will give each player half a point.
Players may also resign at any point. It is customary to knock over your own king when doing this to confirm the resignation.
