Paul, who was second to Jesus Christ as being the most well-known Christian teacher Paul is still an iconic name. Romans 12 3 says: Covetousness is the root reason for anger, rage and hostility. It is the most serious sin to ensure that your finances are in order. Everyone who's not conscious of his spending habits has an opponent that's called Satan.
Though this argument is informative, it is not able to provide the answer to what the purpose was behind why Paul wrote Romans 12,3 about money being the cause of all evil. First of all it is obvious that coveting is an evil thing. Paul states that coveting is "the the root of every evil" but he applies the same reasoning to money as coveting encompasses possession and it is not only about possession. If that's the case and so, what's"the "root" of evil? It is money, because money gives people the ability to manage their own lives, and provides them with the ability to take on whatever they like.
What does the Bible really say regarding money? In the ancient languages of the Bible, God did not claim that money was the source of evil. There are hundreds of thousands of verses that actually praise money , declaring that it's God's gift to His people. But, there are hundreds of thousands of verses where money is deemed to be one of the causes of evil. In light of this is money the only thing that corrupts people? The answer is yes, if your worldview favors wealth and believe that God will have us successful, it is important to recognize the risks.
