Work with Auto Parts to Build an Automotive Distributor Warehouse
David L. Haner, age 67, of Blacklick, died Tuesday, April 29, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1958, and graduated from Groveport High School. He worked at Automotive Distributor Warehouse, where he met his wife, Beth, who happens to be the mother of his two children. He worked for International Harvester in Cleveland, specializing in lawn mowers, chainsaws and Generators.

He liked working on Generators and Chainsaws because they required little physical effort. website His job often involved running late hours, but it was always well worth the effort. There were days when snow fell extremely fast, so he would take his chainsaw or generator to a location with power, and used a leaf blower to clear away the snow. When winter finally melted, he used a fire hose to dry out the debris.

For his mechanical skills, he learned the basics of automotive engines and had experience in installing Generators and Chainsaws. When his wife told him that she wanted him to start his own business, he knew right then and there that he wanted to work on lawn mowers as well as chainsaws. He designed and built lawn mowers for several companies, including Global, Fleetwood, Kohler, Toro, Buck, Toro, Lions Club, John Deere, and Kohler. He designed and installed all of their electric components and mechanical parts. In fact, he designed and installed all of their controllers and servos.

He designed and installed chainsaws and Generators that could be driven by cars, trucks, motorcycles and even boats. He even installed Digital Pressure Gauge (DPG) monitors that showed the pressure on the tires, which was extremely helpful during the winter. This allowed the company to know exactly how much pressure to add to the air tanks to make it run smoothly.

After building a large customer base, he decided to found his own Distribution Company. He chose to work exclusively with his distributor partners and went on to build his own fleet of trucks. Now his business consisted of thousands of trucks, work trucks, wheelchair accessible vans, passenger vans, wheelchair mobility vans, scooters and specialty vehicles.

Bob became an automotive distributor because of the passion he felt about working with machines. He took everything that he learned in his career and applied it to his business. And he did not give up. As a result, he built a company that enabled him to be one of the largest distributors in the United States.
