A supporting ecosystem service provided by forests would be that it provides plants and animals with a place to live. They provide the living space plants and animals need and they also maintain the biodiversity of those plants and animals.

A provisioning ecosystem service provided by forests is that they provide timber/wood. We take the wood that the forests provide and use it to make other materials such as paper.

A regulating ecosystem service provided by forests is that they regulate the quality of the air. Tropical rainforests provide 40% of the oxygen in the world. So they regulate the amount of oxygen is in the air.

A cultural ecosystem service provided by forests is that they provide beautiful scenery and places for people to hike. Many people go on hikes to improve their well-being.








e) Propose an economic incentive that can be utilized to increase biodiversity of forests.
An economic incentive that can be utilized to increase biodiversity of forests is to have the government provide an increased payment to farmers for keeping biodiversity in forests. To have them plant and maintain a variety of crops instead of just one.
