How to keep up with music from your home country even if you've lived in the USA for 10 years

What do you do? I am a young Russki man who emigrated to America in search of an improved life. I was extremely poor in Russia. I wasn't even far from the middle class. I wasn't rich at all. This isn't me, per se. However, my family. As a young adult in Russia there was no money a necessity. We needed to find ways of earning money. There are many schemes available, with the majority of them similar to the alcohol addicts who ask for money from their friends to purchase their communal vodka bottle. It's almost like as we'd explore ways to earn dollars quickly to purchase bread. We were always hungry.

So, I made it to America. However, it's not anywhere near New York or Brooklyn or Brighton Beach. The place is truly reminiscent of the home of my childhood. It's noisy, filthy, filled with Russian spoken words, people are rude,, just a normal Russian city experience. I spent quite a lot of money there, mostly for Russian restaurants and music and books shops.

Music is my passion and books are my favorite. Today, you can browse Russian literature online, which is the case in recent years. This is why I no longer buy books in hard copy. My wife, who's almost a hoarder, doesn't have much space in her home, therefore I try to avoid buying unnecessary stuff. While stacks and stacks of books look intelligent in the beginning, as they became old, they looked dull and dreary. Later, I moved them into my garage.

Music is different. Since my job involves driving a lot I also listen to a lot of music. Because I'm an Russian citizen, there's no way I can like new music from the USA. I'm not a huge fan of rap, hip-hop, metal, rock or pop. The latest music that kids love to dance to. I am a huge fan of Russian music and the songs that were written in jail. They are still popular in Russia after twenty years. They aren't on CDs - they are mostly tapes in cars and videos on Youtube. Youtube now has all the data. After returning home from working, I can spend hours listening to music on Youtube.


After some time, I discovered a long playlist with over 300 songs I love. Since there are more than 300 songs, it's easy to become accustomed to the music. But when I need to play the songs in my car, I don't have any Internet to spare, I need it for driving or to navigate. Therefore, I prepare at home. I'm in the middle of my list now and I record a couple of songs from Youtube to mp3 files and then I burn those MP3s on a CD using my laptop. After that, I bring CD to the car to listen. yt to mp3 converter The site allows you to print a Youtube playlist and convert each song to an mp3 file to save on my computer at home. Then you are able to transfer the music onto an audio CD. Sometimes, I'm a little naughty and make a data CD, that won't play in my car stereo. If audio files are recorded, it's incredible how technology works. It's not necessary to be online to listen to mp3s, all I need is a CD to put into my car's stereo. The music of Russia was blasting in Manhattan while I drove around.

It's easy to download videos from Youtube and save them as mp3 files. It is then possible to save them to your Smartphone. A friend of mine connected his iPhone to his car stereo, and within a few seconds, it was playing very premium sound. He also could stream Spotify as well as Pandora radio. It doesn't require much Internet. This is something I'm going to try the next time. But, I'll make sure to not make use of the wifi that is free.
