I worked at GE first at 32nd and Chestnut and then King of Prussia from 1958 through 1963 as a secretary - I went to U of Penn at night and Ursinus College. Since I had a clearance and was working in the aerospace industry, I was offered a job as a secretary with TRW in Redondo Beach. My first marriage (1958 to 1963) had ended in divorce and I wanted to get out of Dodge. another stupid mistake (1970) and married a guy who subsequently sold my car and ran off with his secretary, leaving me to clean up the mess (divorced him finally in 1975) - all the while I was going to school at night (junior college in LA and UCLA) - I married my present husband (an airline pilot with TWA) in 1978. Shortly thereafter being pushed by one of my best friends who had her doctorate in personnel relations I got serious and completed my schooling at University of California at Dominguez Hills with a BA in Communications. (22 years, 5 universities and three majors) By that time, I was working in public relations at TRW and they were paying for my schooling. Right after we married, we moved to Reno, built a house and Pete flew out of SanFrancisco. In three years we moved back to LA because the SanFran base closed. I went back to TRW (will continue in another message because I am running out of characters)
