1. Dare to dream big
Even though he came from Ssangmun-dong, a small and less developed area in Seoul, Sang-woo persistently worked hard on his studies. Despite his poor family background, Sang-Woo graduated as the top of his class from Seoul National University, a prestigious university that ranked 54th according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022.

After graduating, Sang Woo found a good job as the head of an investment team at a securities company. However, his inability to use his resources wisely then led him to piling debts. While working as an investment banker, he began to steal money from some of his clients and lost it all in the stock market.

Smart people always have a great curiosity, curiosity then enables them to gain new knowledge. In Squid Game, Cho Sang Woo's curiosity allows him to guess what game will be played next, so he can prepare a strategy to win the next game.
