Expressionist Architecture
Expressionist Architecture is famous for its boldness and stylized design. It was created in the second half of the 20th century and was strongly influenced by the art movements and expressive art movements. It is one of three main styles of contemporary architectural architecture that includes Post-Impressionism, International Style and Creativity Style. It was developed on the idea that architects should consider the "language of figures" when designing. This type of architecture was a departure from the norms of the past and introduced an artistic perspective to the designing process. Some features that can be considered characteristic of Expressionist architecture are:

The vibrant textures of the plaster surfaces The surfaces Expressionist architecture often makes use of vibrant colors on architectural surfaces. In addition the majority of modernist structures feature decorative elements in the form of tiles or fabric-covered walkways. They pick complicated geometric designs and materials like concrete, stainless steel, and glass. This is why they create visually stimulating structures. Modernist buildings usually follow the same simple motifs but do not have the same elaborate details. The McDonald's in New York City is an example of a modernist building.

The use of simple or rounded forms A characteristic of expressionist architecture is the use of simple and round forms. These forms, which are often geometrical forms, are said to look like the shape of a "swan's bill". Another element that is considered to be the most important aspect of this type of design is the use of color. For expressionists flat colors, such as off-white and white were utilized and they preferred earthy tones like yellow, green and orange.

Geometric patterns can be seen in building plans - similar to the concept of the aesthetic approach, the expressionist architecture also incorporates a variety of geometric patterns and designs. Most of these patterns are formed by using different shapes such as rectangles, ovals, squares, and octagons. tonsilparchitect Geometric patterns give the building the appearance of formality and uniformity, which isn't the case with the classical styles that are typical of Italy. Casa di Castello, a residence built by Antonio Gaudi in 1870, is a good example. The house features a beautiful circular staircase that has a floral design in its balustrade.

Expressionist architecture also makes application of art. Many art works are designed to improve the appearance of interiors. Architectural forms and paintings are the most popular objects that interior designers incorporate. Contemporary artworks, however, tend to be more stylized and modern in fashion. A earliest 20th Century piece by the French master Louis Sullivan is a perfect example of the use of art for interior design.

Interior themes - another significant characteristic of architecture that is expressionist is the utilization of various interior themes. These themes typically have a connection with colors and textures. The most popular interior themes are landscapes, nudes, forests oceanscapes, cubicles, and other landscapes. Rooms may also have contemporary themes that incorporate materials, plastics and textiles. Furniture pieces can be covered and other materials, like beds and curtains, with cloth or plastic.

Expressionist Architecture is in a close relationship with the expressionist visual and artistic arts. However, the primary distinction between these two movements lies in their distinct methods of construction. Expressionist architects create their works by organizing objects in a series. In contrast, the conceptual artists make their artistic pieces by assembling pictures or photographs in parallel with the movement of abstract thought. Expressionists also make use of various gadgets and devices like smoke machines, mirrors, and the chimes to construct their architectural designs.

Expressionist architecture has influenced a lot of the modern buildings that we see these days like the Mona Lisa, the Eiffel Tower, Walt Disney Concert Hall The Exposition Universelle, the Sears Tower and so on. A majority of the 20th century's leading design firms, including Charles Eames and Zaha Hadid, had worked on projects that were influenced by expressionist architecture. Expressionist architecture is a significant part in the history of art and design.
