Expressionist Architecture
Expressionist architecture refers the artistic style that dominated circles of architects in the early part 20th century. There are three major types of architectural style: Dadaism (Fauvism), Cubism (Cubism). Expressionist architecture in its purest form was distinguished by a lack of ornamentation and colors, a dependence on flat surfaces for the construction of its structures and a heavy emphasis on human form and the texture. Expressionist architecture was initially used to describe the architectural work of avant-garde Czech, Dutch, Austrian and German architects between 1910 and 1930. This style was born of a desire to build modernist buildings in a simpler way.

Dadaism was born out of the salon style that Julius Frank, Viennese Expressionist painter, promoted. His work was extremely popular amongst art lovers in the era. His style was heavily influenced by the theme of emotions and emotion. The movement was a revival of the concept of art. Artists believed that art should be directly linked to the emotions of people. One of the most well-known examples of Expressionist architectural designs is the one was constructed by him at Dessau and referred to as simply an apartment.

Fauvism, on the other hand is an ideology that was born out of the prevalence of Cubism and Neoclassicism. It sought to create a new form of architecture that was free of human characteristics. The architect was a French architect named Louis Paul de Maistre, who had been influenced by the French Expressionists. He believed that architects must be capable of "free his mind". In essence the way he saw it, his relationship with his home is the most important factor in his happiness.

The Third Wave of expressionism came during World War I, when architects sought ways to contribute to the war by creating an edgier form of architecture. This was the time when expressionism began to fall apart. Many architects were accused of'stagnant modernism'. Their designs were criticized as boring and uninspiring. Some architects tried to blend traditional techniques with modern materials. Although they believed they could help modern architecture's artistic aspects, they failed to incorporate new ideas in their plans.

A great example of expressionist architecture is found in works of architects like Bruno Taut, who is most famous for his design of the Barcelona Cathedral. In his work, you can clearly see that he was inspired by ancient Roman structures, such as the Pantheon and the Acropolis. His favorite subjects were flying machines and wheels and the most striking thing about his work was the absence of any ornamentation.

Bruno Taut, Peter Eisenman along with his collaborators created the famous Werkbund Exhibition. The pavilion is one of the most distinctive expressionist architectural creations of the period, and it was first used by the Nazis during World War II as a symbol of their power and as a place they could to hide. The word "werkbund" refers to the wooden structure on which was used to construct the glass. This wooden box became the residence of the singular architect. When Taut created this masterpiece he used a huge amount of glass, all of which would have been carefully selected from all over Europe, for the purposes of ensuring that the building would be entirely weatherproof. Bruno taut also used wood for the construction of the glass box.

Expressionist art and architecture were extremely popular during the 20th century. Artists such as Jasper Johns and Frank Stella Paul DurandRuel Frantz Boas, and Paul Durand-Ruel were able to use the style to produce stunning works. The movement was also met with strong resistance from conservative politicians and architects and artists from the conservative side, who were opposed to the idea of breaking away from the established traditions of the past. Frank Stella led the resistance to Expressionist art and architecture. He was especially drawn to the Expressionist buildings' stylised forms and Symmetries. He believed that such design could provide a more refined view of beauty than the unrefined, conservative art. This type of architecture was adopted by certain parts of the British Royalty who constructed vast palaces in silent complexes using stained glass. Many of the British Royalty's homes of the present are filled with glass. The glass gives the house the feeling of being outside, despite the fact that there are huge panels of glass blocking out sunlight. In fact, the British Royalty's love of Expressionism architecture is so amazing that in the past few years, they've been barred from the buildings they built, because they are causing damage to the ozone layer.

The 21st century has seen Expressionist architecture take on a new form and a whole new genre of architecture emerging which are all about fun and yet can trigger an extremely strong emotional response from those who come across them. A lot of people are starting to consider the experiences that be experienced when they visit these kinds of structures. Expressionist architecture It is becoming increasingly apparent that these structures can be a major influence on the experience of people who go to them. The design of the interior experience can inspire intense feelings of spirituality or the feeling of leaving one's comfort zone for an experience of spiritual enlightenment. This is evident in the multitude of churches being constructed that are being constructed in association with this type of architecture. Many churches are planning to build places of worship in their new structures and give their members to meditate or even receive communion while being surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
