You may find the following green salad recipe to be bland or perhaps even boring. But don't let your disappointment overshadow the fact that you can make a flavorful and healthy salad in just minutes! And you don't need a food processor or a knife and fork. These types of meals are simple enough to prepare, yet have tons of flavor. You just need to follow a few guidelines.

To begin with, use a firm bottomed saucepan to heat the oil over a low heat. When the oil is hot enough, turn off the heat and add the ingredients (listed above) and stir to combine. Then turn the burner off and allow the mixture to cool. During the cooling process, take your largest knife or kitchen knife and cut the wedges out of your smaller pieces of lettuce. It doesn't have to be perfect, just as long as you get the proportions right.
Then, add all of your small dice of carrots and celery to the larger pieces of lettuce and tomatoes and toss in the rest of your ingredients, including any vinegar you may want to augment the taste of your greens. Stir well to combine until all of the ingredients are evenly mixed. Form the mixture into two portions, wrap each separately in wax paper, and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Or, if you're feeling especially creative, you can alter the order of your ingredients and see what happens!
