Despite the consultation and preparation by animal control officers, a venomous zebra cobra was captured on Wednesday night by a glue trap, a 48-hour incident that generated nationwide interest.
Cobras in red buckets are guided into a safe location so the glue on their bodies can be removed.
An earlier video interview had captured a striped snake crawling onto a porch on Sandringham Drive from the siding of a house. Its hood was visible when it raised its head to look around.
After confirming it was a snake, Animal Control officers moved the camera crews back of the area and attempted to capture it there.
Searches were launched early Tuesday after the same home made a 911 call.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Despite hours of consultation and preparation of law enforcement and animal control officers, a venomous zebra cobra was captured with a glue trap on a north Raleigh porch Wednesday night, bowing out a nearly 48-hour ordeal that gained national attention.
As soon as the cobra was guided into the red bucket, it was moved to a safe location where the glue could be fully removed.
A striped snake was spotted earlier in the day crawling out of the siding of a house on Sandringham Drive, onto the front porch of a house. As it lifted its head, the hood was visible.
When Animal Control officers confirmed the snake was the one they moved camera crews back before they attempted to catch it.
Searches were launched early Tuesday after the same home made a 911 call.

She said the ordeal is over and she is relieved.
She said she feels much safer now and is very happy. It feels as if I can now go outside and enjoy the scenery. The snake, though, must have felt bad.
A zebra cobra has been missing from a north Raleigh neighborhood where this stunted snake is seen.
moreton bay snake catcher Even a morning dog walk can prove dangerous for this snake, a zebra cobra that can spit up to nine feet. It is a very dangerous snake according to the African Snakebite Institute. A victim's nervous system might shut down upon ingestion of the venom.
An individual hit by the snake's poison would feel immediate pain, swelling, irritation, vomiting, and diarrhea. A high fever and breathing difficulties would follow, which could lead to respiratory failure.
At Avian and Exotic Animal Care, veterinarian Salina Locke treats all kinds of pets.
Cobras of this kind usually do not bite. They spray their venom more often -- they're very accurate, she said.
The risk of keeping this snake as a pet prevents Locke from recommending this snake for this purpose.
Sleeping is when most bites occur. Research indicates people who are bit can suffer health issues for a long time.
During a search on Tuesday afternoon, police searched the home on 6917 Chamonix Place, near where the cobra was last seen.
There were four visits by police to that house in March in connection with an animal issue. In the afternoon, the zebra cobra was spotted on a porch half a mile away.
There are records in the county that indicate Keith and Rebecca Gifford reside at that address. His Facebook account shows several pictures of snakes he claims are owned by his son, Christopher, according to the account.
Christopher Gifford has 460000 followers on TikTok. One of his posts claims that he owns a 7-foot zebra cobra.
