Examples of a Gothic Romance Book
Romantic love or romance is that intense, emotionual feeling of intense love towards, or an intense attraction towards someone, and the various courtship behaviours undertaken by an individual as a means to express these feelings and results. It could be described as an intense sexual desire, leading an individual either generally towards marriage or towards an engagement of some sort. It can also be described as a sort of intense emotional bonding, which is often accompanied by physical attraction. Romance in today's terminology is more commonly associated with feelings of passion, togetherness and attraction, however, romantic love has a much longer history than these early days. It actually originated centuries ago, and has been associated with philosophies, literature and history in general.

One famous romantic story is The Heartbreak Kid by Jane Eyre. Jane Eyre is a young girl who falls for a man much older than her, whom she describes as "our prince charming". On their first date he catches her in the act of a masturbation, which he rightly identifies as "a sin against nature", and he smashes parts of her dress in the process. This leads to her losing her virginity to him. This is just one example of a romance breaking down, although many of the events in this story have a moral theme, which supports the notion that romance can indeed die hard.

A common theme throughout romantic literature is the idea of falling in love, which then develops into a love story. A classic example of this is Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This play depicts the end of the relationship between Romeo and Juliet, which is marked by their feuding, death of several loved ones, and their reconciliation. During the course of the play, several lovers attempt to woo Juliet. The most notable of these attempts is Jealousy, which is demonstrated by Romeo's domineering behavior when he senses Juliet's interest in Claudius.

Another example of a romance gone wrong is in the Twilight saga by the talented author Edward Cullen. Bella Swan, who is described as "a girl with all the luck in the world" by the series' protagonists, falls in love with a fellow student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, a tragic incident causes Bella's heart to break, and she backs out of any romantic involvement with Edward. In gothic romance, romantic gestures such as falling in bed with someone are given more significance than they would be in mainstream literature, which views them as mere symbols of passion (a view which Twilight firmly upholds).

An example of a relationship which falls apart is that between Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in the Harry Potter book and film. Despite being deadly dreams , their romantic relationship was considered by both of them to be tenuous at best, due to the pressure from school and society. One of the biggest concerns which Watson had for Radcliffe was that he always looked up to her and tried to be her best friend, even after she broke up with him. When he refused to let her stay alone at the dormitory while she was searching for herself, this caused a strain between them which eventually resulted in the break up of their friendship.

An example of a character who falls in love with another human being, but does not necessarily want to marry or commit to them is King Arthur, from the Arthurian legend. Although he is described as being "a prince charming", Arthur lives a charmed life, never facing any romantic liaisons, and he appears to only have one true love: Queen Guinevere. Although he is described as being handsome, the relationship between him and Guinevere is far from love. Instead, it is obvious throughout the series that Arthur has been willing to marry her and spend his life with her, despite the risks involved. As such, the ultimate sacrifice he makes is choosing to live a life of eternal love and commitment, instead of risking his life and freedom to get married and start a family.

An example of a romantic relationship that does not require a hero to save the day or find romance is that of a Harry Potter fanfiction, "HP-verse". Harry, as you probably know, is completely enthralled with the Harry Potter books and films. He is surrounded by people who are constantly going on about their relationships with either Professor Snape or Lord Voldemort, making it clear to Harry that they are far from real, all-dimensional humans who would willingly give up their entire lives for someone like him. The difference between Harry and these other characters is that they are very different from our normal concept of what love and romance are supposed to be. They are examples of a gothic romance, in which the subtext is that romance and relationships are dark, terrible things that should not be encouraged.

If you are looking for examples of a gothic romance novel, look no further than "Harry Potter". deadly dreams romance is the perfect example of a romance that is dark and edgy, while also being utterly romantic and completely without flaws. Most readers will agree that the series is very entertaining and fun while also being a science fiction story at the same time. Romance novels in general need to have that balance, although they can also take the romance to new levels by incorporating aspects of fantasy into them. That is why "Harry Potter" is such a popular book among gothic romance fans.
