Teen Patti is a fast paced card game, similar to baccarat or solitaire. It differs from baccarat, however, in that players have only two cards to deal with, rather than three. They are dealt in a way that the cards are not laid out in traditional four card monogram fashion. Instead, players are dealt seven cards face down. The traditional game of three card brag is played in this game, as well as the traditional game of two card stud.

Teen Patti is usually played on an ordinary table, but many people like to play it on an easel, or even on a ring, or round table. The cards are normally dealt from left to right. The object of the game is to eliminate all the possible pairs and the player is usually required to go through a minimum of fifty cards before they are dealt their cards for the final game round. There is no such thing as a straight deck, although one may be produced for this game. Poker chips are usually played as part of the game instead.
