Neo-Gothic Architecture
Neo-Gothic architecture was among the many styles of architecture that emerged in the 18th century's Gothic revival. Although it incorporates elements from different architectural styles, it is a part of a school which emphasizes the strong connection between Gothic architecture and Romanticism. This led to the use of striking colors and lavish ornamentation. It also tells historically accurate stories. Neo-Gothic architecture has been characterized by its elaborate designs and stylized details. Because it is reminiscent of other historical architectural styles, it is sometimes called Gothic decor.

ออกแบบบริเวณบ้าน In the late 17th century Neo-Gothic architecture came into being in England. A new generation of artists embraced the traditional styles and made them dark, bizarre and Gothic. It was revived in the second period of the Victorian period by more creative and educated young people who were less excited about traditional Gothic styles and wanted to revive medieval architecture, in contrast to the more contemporary and realistic styles of the time. A new trend emerged in the field of architectural design, dubbed 'parallelism', or the use of similar materials and styles in the design of architecture and interior decoration. Gothic revival architecture was heavily influenced by French architectural styles, particularly the arches found in French palace buildings.

The most famous examples of neo-gothic architecture are the Buttresses of Bodmin, the inverted colonnades of Clapham Common, and the Paddington Railway station. These structures, as well as many others were built with large wood arches and beams. The concrete walls were constructed of different colors of mortar, while the concrete roof was plain. Coved ceilings were also popular for this age. Architectural styles became popular towards the end of the nineteenth century, when there was a movement away from the traditional style and towards more exotic styles of expression. One example of this was Neo-Gothic architecture.

The architectural designs found in Gothic newspapers in the late nineteenth century influenced the development of Neo-Goths. These buildings attracted many architects, and became very popular after their architecture grew. But it wasn't until the latter half of the 20th century that architects began to express more creativity in Neo-Gothic architecture. In the same time urban planning began to adopt a more Gothic influence, with the emphasis on Gothic rectitude and hidden nooks and corners. This is evident in a number of the most well-known Gothic structures from the Victorian period. Many modern architectural structures, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Cairo and Delhi are characterized by a distinct Gothic influence.

Since the late 20th century, Neo-Gothic architecture was a popular choice for people who want to express their artistic visions. The Gothic revival architecture of the Victorian period, which blends elements of traditional buildings with technological advances , is a perfect example of this. This type of architecture is also famous for its use of natural stone and tunnels. Neo-Gothic architecture uses many materials commonly used in Gothic architecture, but are integrated with modern technology to give the creation of a Gothic appearance.

Another great example of the Neo-Gothic architecture of the late century is the university in Uppsala in Sweden. The structure is constructed of wood and has a classic look with heavy carved frescos covering the walls. Large windows look out onto the campus and the courtyard. The carving detail is stunning with every element from the exterior of the building contributing to the elegance of the interior All of which help to make this one of the most impressive examples of Neo-Gothic architecture.

In the United States there are many Gothic revival structures that have not been modernized and are beautiful to behold. Los Angeles and San Diego are two of the buildings that are notable. The first is an Gothic cathedral that dates back to the Middle Ages, while the second is a university with an amazing aquarium. The tower is also part of the famous Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. It is remarkably similar to a church in appearance.

Other Gothic architecture includes a Gothic church in Reading, England, which is one of the oldest functioning Gothic buildings in the region. This church has a beautiful red sandstone façade. Also, the Sellwood Cathedral is a different Gothic building, which is listed as one of the most striking Gothic buildings in England. These iconic Gothic structures aren't the only ones. There are also many other Gothic buildings such as a Gothic-style town square in Nottingham and a quaint Gothic fish market, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Today, there's more modern-looking Neo-Gothic architecture in Birmingham.
