How Do Inkjets & Colored Docs Compete?
Computer printers have come a long way since their early humble beginnings. In fact, it is hard to think of any product or piece of equipment that didn't use at least a inkjet printer in its design. And just as printing from a pen has come a long way over the centuries, so has the technology used in printers has also come a long way. You would be surprised by just how far some inkjet printers can go, in both quality and cost.

Early computer printers operated very similar to a standard typewriter. Once again, a letter-like image was stamped onto the white paper with an ink ribbon, left an impression of that letter by using an electrically charged static-charged Dot Matrix LCD display. Later models were built with a small set of pins to form words from individual dots, which were then marked on the dot matrix display with a small electric current. Dot matrix was soon superseded by laser printer technology, as it allowed much greater print quality and faster speeds, but the older PRINTS were still very reliable and effective.

Color laser printers employ a different printing process from dot matrix. Instead of having individual color pins to form each character, the LCD screen is filled with millions of color combinations. This allows the printer to process the image as a single color, rather than having to break the image up into red, green, blue, and even black & white channels. This has a significant advantage when using document software, since you are able to easily adjust the color mode and color values without losing the exact copy of the original document. It also allows for very precise color match, something that dot matrix simply could not match.

Dot matrix had been around for decades before the arrival of laser printers, and in fact was probably around longer than the earliest computers. But as time passed, computers became cheaper, and inkjet and laser printers increased in popularity. Because of this, the once-ubiquitous dot matrix printer found a new lease in life, and even produced higher print quality than its dot matrix competitor. The popularity of laser and inkjet color printers has only risen in recent years. But the best way to see for yourself is to compare the cost of a basic inkjet printer with the cost of a color printer.

Even though the computer printers of today are built primarily for printing plain black text documents, that is no indication they can't still be used for more complex tasks. my computer wont recognize my printer usb Some modern printers can print high-quality photographs, posters, logos, and even illustrations. Of course, the higher the image quality the pricier the printer may be, but many of today's more expensive models can print out a high number of high-resolution images. That can have a major impact on the budget.

Even in home situations, there are several ways that inkjet and laser printer can complement each other. Most home computers include a printer port. This port is often used for both laser and inkjet printers. So a home computer with a laser printer can easily be used as an inkjet printer if you want to print out a document or photo. You can even connect your printer to your PC or Mac using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technology.

Laser and inkjet printouts on colored documents are often referred to "true" black since the ink absorbs all the colors from the original document without converting them to dots. On a printed document, the laser and ink dots actually create a color image on the paper. "True" black is also available on some black and white documents that use CMY or CMYK color chips.

Some printers use individual dyes for printing. These types of printers have their own individual bulbs that produce the color. A color can be projected directly from the LED (light emitting diode) onto the paper. If there is a need to reproduce a color on several pages, then an all-around color copier may be used. The cost of these type of printers depends on the number of individual dyes used and its size in pixels.
