b) SUPRISES:

My results didn’t exactly surprise me, because I know myself pretty well especially when it comes to my skills and strengths. However, they did intrigue/interest me. They did, because I found that a lot of the results were accurate and really did fit my personality and the way I am.

c) OBSERVATIONS ABOUT MYSELF:

I have learned quite a few things about myself while doing this activity. I learned that I am a creator, a helper and a doer. By fitting into the ‘creator’ group, this means that I am artistic, imaginative, different, original and do their own thing. The results also showed that I am a helper, meaning that I am social, helpful, follow my emotions, feel good by making others happy, not competitive but devoted, and committed. Lastly, I am also a doer. From the results, this means that I am realistic, like to find solutions to problems by trying out different things, make things with my hands and tools. However, it also means that I avoid situations involving discussion with other people.

d) PERSONAL ASSESSMENT TOOL:

What I think about the personal assessment tool (the survey), is that the results are definitely accurate. It described me the same way I would describe myself and used to those results to show me the jobs and careers that I could possibly do.

e) CAREER CONNECTIONS:

Three connections between my new self-knowledge and me potential career choices, are:
1) With my skills fitting into the ‘creator’ group, I suit careers that I have always had in mind and would certainly enjoy. For example, from referring to the chart, I can be a photographer which is one of my favourite things to do and could see myself doing for sure in the future.

2) Since I am a social person who likes to be surrounded by others, like the results said, I also fit into the ‘helper’ group. I often like to help people and give them advice. Therefore, the results from the questionnaire show that I can be a teacher, a social worker, teacher, physician, counselor, etc.

3) I fit in the 'doer' category as well, due to being a realistic person who find real solutions and likes to use my hands and tools to make things. This means that I can go into careers such as being an electrician, plumber, roofer, etc.
