A Writers Odyssey is a 2021 Chinese science-fiction action-adventure movie directed by Lu Yang and written by Ning Hui. The film was released on February 10, 2021, which is the Lunar New Year's Day. The film begins with Qi Ling trying to get the attention of a boy named Kai Lan who is part of the military that is stationed in the city. Qi Ling catches the attention of the boy and asks him to come to her martial arts academy. She can train alongside her best friend.

When they decide to team up two of their buddies arrive at the martial arts school only to discover that it's secured and controlled by soldiers. They fight their way through campus and are eventually fought by various military personnel. After much fighting, they finally get to the top of the building and find Kai Lan unconscious. Qi Ling takes care of Kai Lan while the boy decides to get the unconscious man out.

After discovering the body The group rushes off to locate the master of the martial arts who was in charge of the army. The master is more skilled in martial arts than the rest of the group and tells his story to them. The two writers have never met before and therefore, they are astonished when he appears in a ghost like form and attacks them. The masters then transform their spirit into Miss Lin, a young woman. They find that Lin has been able to inherit the masters' spirit and they begin developing a plan to save the world.

Huang Di, a Chinese mystic and a mystic from China, joins the two martial artists. They work together to stop evil from destroying the world and make martial arts safe again. They discover that Miss Lin may have another option. In a different timeline she was married to Chow Teng, and thus established the powerful martial arts empire known Lin Feng.
