With so many different luggage sizes available, it's a daunting task to know which is the right luggage, whether it's a smart piece of luggage, light suitcase or perfect travel pack for you travels. First you must decide what kind of luggage will be suitable for you and your travels. If you are going on a trip that is only a few days long, a small bag is usually all you need. However, if you are flying internationally for business purposes, it is recommended that you invest in a long-term carry-on or even a briefcase to carry your important documents and personal items along with you.

Finally, there is carry-on-extenders. These are pieces of hardware that fit under the seat and over the shoulder strap of a plane to allow you to check-in with a larger luggage or briefcase. These are most commonly available in the executive range, but there are some small, light and pocket-sized models as well.


For travelling with your pet, there are options in the form of pet friendly airlines and even pet strollers. With a pet friendly airline, you get an alternative way to travel with your pet whether it is by car, bus, train or sea. There are also pet strollers that allow you to go walking with your pet without worrying about space issues. These types of luggage and strollers are often designed to fit in overhead compartments or on the floor when not in use.

When buying carry-on luggage for international travel, it is advisable that you purchase the largest size you can afford to take with you. There is nothing worse than arriving at your destination, finding out you do not have enough room for all your possessions. Furthermore, the larger the size of luggage you choose to carry, the more you will be able to pack into it. The reason for this is because you will have more room inside the case and will not need to look for larger suitcases to store some of your smaller items.
