<p class="p__1">In February 18, 2019, I was invited by the journal to join their editorial board. The invite was warm in mentioning "We are familiar with your work and would be honored if you would serve on our editorial board. Read This represents the type of intellectual dedications we would like to see in the pages of our journal, and we trust your judgment to take the journal in exciting directions in the future." Having formerly released in the journal, and having actually checked out, mentioned, taught, and shared other work published in its pages, I would ordinarily have actually gotten such an invite with fantastic joy and happily accepted.</p>

<p class="p__2">Just one week prior to getting this invitation, Li, CS began to flow this call (click here) for papers for an unique problem on "Queer and Trans Embodied Literacies." The special problem was to be guest modified by Zarah Catherine Notter-Moeggenberg with Brenda Glascott, handling editor of Li, CS. While I started to check out the call with terrific excitement and interest, it was not long before my checking out the CFP, for numerous reasons, turned to an all too familiar experience of dissatisfaction and exhaustion as a Black queer femme and Black queer feminist studies scholar in rhetoric and structure.</p>
