Lessons One and Two: I have yet to see an efficient "professional buyer" of ANY type of scrap. They are getting paid for results which means buying in quantity, which means going where the biggest and most numerous accounts are located. Even then, they use a 'shotgun' approach. Secondly, whoever shows up with cash in hand first gets the scrap. The people you buy from want CASH, not the bother of mailing or shipping their scrap materials to a buyer who "may" send them a check. Regardless of the amount of scrap they have, it is but a small percentage of their business - it is GRAVY to them!



There are different places one can look for auto parts such as local specialty stores, online stores or auto parts auctions, and last but not least junk or salvage yards. Every place has its pros and cons.

I instructed David that I would appraise the business, and convince the seller that my appraisal was accurate, but David had to do the negotiations. The seller would never talk to me about the inside details if he was negotiating with me directly. This time I spent 5 hours with the seller, not the books, to determine the business was worth $350,000. The seller would not take the price, but felt I had done an excellent appraisal. I suggested to David to wait 60 days and open discussions again. I also told him the seller would eventually take the $350,000.

Some insurance agencies have their own network of auto body repair shops. However, salvage yards near my location may often take short cuts and compromise on the quality of the repair, to save money. This is because; the insurance agencies usually offer them a pre-renegotiated amount that is mostly quite paltry.

Well some people will end up in the MLM vehicle scrap yard parts. They will try the business but after a while they will give up. Things just don't seem to work for them. They are just crashing into too many obstacles in their path to success.

Make sure those videos are going to be complete NOW. Not next week and not next month. The products that they are promoting also have to be available to be sold. You should be selling current inventory first. That reduces storage costs and increases turnover.

You will be surprised at the service you receive from these suppliers. It is impeccable and once you are happy with what you get for the first time, you can forget about buying spare parts that are new forever, just call up your import auto salvage supplier and he will grant your wish.

When a manufacturer produces a new car part, they use more oil than they did in the past. When you reuse raw materials you are doing your part to reduce pollutants in the air. Discovering the right parts for your car should be easy, with so many auto parts recyclers in the US, there are more than enough car parts to pick from.

What do you do in a situation like that? You have a low paying job and you are driving around a 20 year old (at the time) clunker. What are you going to do in order to get that next car paid for? At least to get the initial down payment you might need to sell it.
