The Negative Effects Of Sodium Chloride On Our Body
Sea salt is marine salt which is made by the evaporation off of seawater. This salt is used for cooking, seasoning, cosmetics, and even for preserving food. It's also known as black salt, white salt or just plain salt. Sea salt was first mined by ancient peoples as an alternative to salt mined from rocks. The most well-known types of sea salt are rock salt and marine grade salt.

It's the saltiest form of salt available on earth. It's commonly used in cooking and seasoning. Not only does it taste good, it also has high concentration of minerals and antioxidants. Like baking soda, sea salt's main advantage lies in the fact that it is able to neutralize the harmful effects of other ingredients present in any dish you may cook. In other words, it's able to provide the perfect flavor without making your food unhealthy.

Unfortunately, excessive consumption of sea salt can have a negative impact on people with high blood pressure. Scientific studies have revealed that sodium causes an increased heart rate and causes hypertension (high blood pressure). On the other hand, sodium is essential to proper nutrition and prevents the absorption of fat and cholesterol in our bodies.

This is the reason why most restaurants place a sodium reduction sign on their menus. If you eat processed foods that usually have salt on them, you're getting more sodium than you need. Eating high blood pressure-causing sodium rich foods can actually cause your high blood pressure to shoot up!

Salt can be harvested in two ways: sand and sea salts. Sand salts were originally harvested from Dead Sea located on the shores of Jordan. Today, this salty water body is a popular tourist destination due to its healing powers. However, harvesting sea salts is not environmentally sound as millions of tons of these salts are transported each year from different regions of the world.

Fortunately, there are alternatives to sea salt. These natural replacements have far better taste and healthier benefits. Unlike sea salt which is still salty in nature, table salt has lost most of its mineral content. Salt can be made into various textures by adding different minerals like potassium, magnesium, and sodium. The mineral content of table salt varies according to what kind of salt it is-soy, rock salt or white table salt.

Moreover, sea salt and table salt have less processing involved. This means they retain more of the original flavor of the mineral. Also, the minerals found in sea salt and table salt undergo less evaporation (refraction) as compared to the ones that go through heat and irradiation. Evaporation occurs when water gets hotter because of evaporation.

Evaporated salt retains only a very small amount of its original saltiness. This makes sea salt and table salt less tasty than processed varieties. Processed varieties tend to have lost almost all of their mineral content, so they lose their salty taste altogether. However, consumers can make the process of evaporation fun by enjoying an extremely salt-tasting snack or dinner. A good number of restaurants serve foodstuff that has undergone the process of evaporating naturally such as sea salt and table salt.

Salt contains trace minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium. It also has amino acids such as tryptophan, methionine and lysine. There are many types of salt that taste great such as kosher, natural, sea salt, rock salt and table salt. Each of these salt has different effects on the human body depending on its type. Sea salt is the saltiest of all and is preferred over table salt because it has a high concentration of magnesium, whereas kosher and natural salts lack this vital mineral.

Table salt is made from seawater and rock salt comes from underground springs and rivers. Natural and kosher salt are both derived from underground mineral pools. These types of salts are used to add seasoning and flavors to foods. Sea salt is known for its delectable flavor and incomparable texture. Its slightly bitter flavor is due to the content of iron and other beneficial minerals found in the seawater.

Table salt is the most widely used salt around the world. However, when it comes to the problem of table salt's effect on our health, its effectiveness is far from satisfactory. Most people do not realize that the salt they use on their table has actually been subjected to several years of industrial and commercial processes that render it harmful to our bodies. Industrial salt is processed through numerous means, which include electrochemical, solar ionization, sanding and even chemical solvents.

Most table salt contains Sodium Hypochlorite, which is known for its disinfectant properties. However, many table salts contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is known for its laxative properties. There are other chemicals that are added to table salt to make it more appealing and palatable. There are two main types of salt additives; sodium chloride (salt that contains a concentration of sodium) and sodium iodide (iodides that deactivate diseases-causing bacteria). Experts advise against using salt that contains chloride, as it can cause serious health problems.
