Notes

Laughter bellowed through the small camp where the scouts had set up lunch. A strong woman howled in laughter, Fegus shook his head and took a bite of his rations, he rolled his eyes.
“Oh? You rascal!” the woman laughed,
“Oh you know it was your idea!” a man scoffed, the woman got up and ruffled his hair.
“You know, your alot like my sister Marian.” Fergus said, not looking up from his meal,
“Huh? How so?” Marian asked, letting go of the man. She walked over, her body was strong, and long black hair draped around her neck, her piercing blue eyes showed her unbridled confidence and power,
Her body was thin and sleek, but her muscles made up her body,
“Well, my little sister is very fierce like you” Fergus began, Marian sat down beside him listening.
“You both have the bluest of eyes, and not to mention, you have the same wit” he laughed.
“She sounds like a blast!” Marian smiled,
“I’d say you're like my brother, but you two have your differences,” she laughed.
“Hey! I heard that” a black haired man shouted, his muscled body making his armor a slim fit. He also had the same blue eyes as his sister
“Carver can be a little…” Marian paused, clicking her tongue in search of the right word. Carver rolled his eyes as the other scouts laughed
“Aha!” Marian beamed,
“Caver can be a bit of a killjoy at times.” Marian smirked, eyeing her brother,
“And you can be…” Carver said, mocking his sister's dramatic pause.
“Aha! Immature , childish , crude? Take your pick.” Carver sneered
“Meanie!” Marian huffed, throwing a rock weakly at him.
“Somebody has to keep y'all from being too prim” Marian laughed,
“Anywho, tell me of this sister? What's she like?” Marian beamed, despite her brother's growling insults.
“Well,” Fergus started.
“She was meant to be the next lady of our line, should I fall in battle one day” he started,
“‘Lady of your line’?” Caver asked. Fergus nodded
“My calling’s battle, but the Cousland line needs to live on” he started
“Oh you one o’them” a soldier chuckled
“Noble hmm?” Marian cooed
“Yeh yeh, it's not a big deal, my sisters the noble one!” Fergus laughed
He told the group about his family as they ate. And as they packed to keep moving, Marian walked up to Fergus, helping him.
“By the way, I'm Marian, Marian Hawke” the rogue smiled.
“Fergus, Fergus Cousland”

The warm sun of the summersday eve, beat down upon the marching group of trackers and scouts as they moved through the wilds, it was not a hot day, infact the wind had a strong nip to it, but hours of marching had it's toll on the armor-clad men and women. Ahead of this group three indaviguals walked before, a tall and slender woman led, her confident stride and powerful posture commanding respect, her back-length black hair hung loose behind her thin build. Beside her walked a stong statcured man, his black hair tied in a man-bun and the Cousland crest adorned in his sheild. Before them both led another man, he was smaller than the first, with broad sholders and a large greatsword on his back, the smaller man quiet and consentrating as the other scounts and trackers talked in groups or pairs.

"Your mother wasn't mad that your brought home a giant rat?" Fergus asked, brushing his hair from his face as the wind picked up
the woman laughed, it was a bright and appeling,
"Did i say that?" she asked playfuly "No, Mother was furious! she kept telling me to, 'put that pest back in the sewers where it belongs!'" She laughed
"And i'm guessing you didn't" Fergus asked, his friend shook her head proudly
"I covered Caver's ears and said! 'Mother! dont talk about Caver that way!' oh the looks got were amazing" The tracker laughed, Caver, the man leading the group sighed
"she got grouned and the rat got tossed out" He explaned
"It did?" Fergus asked
"Not for long, Marian found it again less than a week later" Caver explaned, his bored tone annoyed at his elder sisters antics.
"What can i say! me and lil'Garrett were just ment to be a misunderstood duo!" Marian grinned brodly, pointing a thumb to her chest, and Caver promptly scoffed, "eventualy Mother and the others got use to me having him, I barly leave the house without him, but Ostagar is the exeption to many rules i've set" Marian finished,
"You remind me of my sister Elissa, she always got in trouble with her Mabari" Fergus began, lifting a arm to shade is eyes as he looked up to meet Marian's silver-tinted blue eyes.
"Oh? i didn't know you had a sister" Marian teased,
"Younger, she is back home in Highever"
"Highever? nice place, never been myself but i've heard storys"
"My family have ruled there since before the rule of King Calenhad Theirin" Fergus explaned
"Cousland family is an old one" Caver agreed "We saw you sheild, you wear your title proud" Marian thought for a time,
"Long ago our mother was a noble, she left that behind so we have no claims, but it's somethin'!" she explaned, Caver scoffed again
"That's the Amell line, not the Hawke's" he protested
"Hawke?" Fergus asked, cocking his head at Caver, who's back was turned
"That's our family name, Hawke, neat right?" Marian asked. Fergus opened his mouth to respond when Caver rose a hand in a command for silence, low rumbleing and odd sounds came from around the group. Marian reached out with her sences to identify the sounds, and drew her sword, the huge wepon ready she lett out a frantic call as the ground erupted beleath and from the air around the company, the call being drowned out by the inhumane screaching and the screams and the group was ambushed.
