The Asus ZenBook is a fine example of a productivity tablet that manages to combine style with efficiency. Stylish and not necessarily showy, the ultra-portable 12.3-inch convertible has the right blend of size and performance for squeezing on a small table in a coffeehouse and still leaving room for your frappucinos. You'll get twelve to sixteen hours of battery life on these babies, depending upon what you do and what your configuration, of course, is. And while it's not the biggest laptop on the market by any stretch of the imagination, it's still fairly small, with a battery that should last several solid years.
The ZenBook's design might put some off at the touchpad, which is just an area of one square inch on the lower right hand side of the screen. However, if you use the ZenBook for typing, then you'll find that very often the touchpad isn't needed, as you can reach all the functions with just your index finger. That's fine for laptop users, but if you plan to use the ZenBook as your main desktop PC, then having a smaller screen just means that you can't do everything that you'd want to. That's why the ZenBook comes with two USBs as well as a gigabit Ethernet port for connecting to your network. You can even download apps right from your wireless router!

In addition to the built-in applications, the ZenBook also includes Windows 7 Home Basic as well as Windows Vista Home Basic, so those who like to use Windows will feel right at home. Like the MacBook, the ZenBook has a solid construction. Although it's made of aluminum, it's not heavy, and you can easily flip it over to flip it into a laptop. That's good news for anyone who needs a light weight, portable laptop that can take anywhere.
